There's been rumours and speculation around town the last few months about the Rockets leaving and relocating. The team officials/management have confirmed that the team is NOT leaving Strathroy in the foreseeable future.

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.

Strathroy staying is good news for sure, I didn't hear the rumours that they could be leaving.
I'm curious at where they would have moved too?

Well the ownership group is from Burlington way, I think the GM lives in St. Catharines, so that would be the speculation around town. I understand people's fears about the team leaving, and the fact that the sale rumours went wild around town for a good 3-4 week period with the previous person in charge denying them, and then all of a sudden it was true, but the team has a 60+ year history, majority of it at the B level, so I would like to believe that if an application was put in, the league wouldn't allow it to happen.
Andrew did an interview with the radio station this morning about it.

Port had a long history, league still let them move to Pelham.. No honor in this league.RocketGirl wrote: Fri Mar 21, 2025 1:39 pm the team has a 60+ year history, majority of it at the B level, so I would like to believe that if an application was put in, the league wouldn't allow it to happen.
