Interesting and probably long overdue. At least it eliminates the three team round-robin and we can get back to best-of-seven playoff series. Do they create new championship trophies for each conference now? With the elimination of the Mid-West conference I guess the Cherrey Cup will no longer be contended for.

Tim Simmons actually did something good…it looks like the better teams of the mid-west are joining the west making that a tough conference.

Opening Night - September 11
Showcase - December 6-8 in Caledonia
Prospects Game - December 27 in Elmira
Regular Season Ends - March 9
Playoffs Start - March 12
