I had some questions last night about the Convenor's Award that my Dad won at the banquet. So I asked the Convenor Mark Tuck what exactly this award was for.

It's an award that Mark started approximately 5 years ago, and he chooses the winner. He felt that we as the GOJHL needed to recognize individuals who give their time and effort to promote and contribute to the success of the Western Conference and GOJHL. "Joe certainly fits that profile. He is at many games within the league to support other teams and is always giving me advice."
Queen of the GOJHL

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.

I thought Joe was very deserving of the award. It was also nice to see Carson Brookshaw of St Thomas recognized for the hard work he has put in to advance his game. The two best choices at the awards night in my opinion.
The Simon Cowell of the GOJHL.
