Anyone else wan't to take a guess? Or still a bit early? I thought it would be fun if we put our favorite team in bold black letters for readers to see.

London should be strong this year, you never know how some of the teams with inexperienced head coaches will do **. St. Thomas and Strathroy are both losing 19 year olds to JrC this year. We already have our first coaching change and we aren't through main camps yet.
1. Leamington
2. London
3. Sarnia
4. Lasalle
5. Chatham**
6. Lambton Shores
7. Strathroy **
8. St. Thomas **
9. St Marys
I don't know what to expect from London. But they have a great track record, so I might have mixed up my 5th & 6th picks. Should be an interesting season with the changes to player drawing areas too. The teams with solid histories will draw talent.

It would be nice to see somebody else at the top this season.(no disrespect to the Flyers)
I think the two logical guesses would be Sarnia or London. But topping Leamington will be no easy task.
Heard some London talk, they might be better than a lot of people expect.

I picked London because of all the change Leamington has. They loss three of there top four scorers from last year( Scott,Quick, and Duarte)
Lost Friesen and whats the word on Henderson is he with the Knights. Scott was OHA Jr B player of the year and that's hard to replace.
And can Barrett carry more of the load or are they going to the rotating goalies thing again.
London biggest lost is Tugwell.
Any of my the top 4 teams could finish higher or lower in the standing it would not surprise me. But I think that's the top four.
Chatham could break into the top four to if they get some defense and goaltending they have lots of offence.
London and Caledonia meeting at this weekend's showcase has the potential to be a great contest that could foreshadow a post-season match-up for the cup if these pre-season predictions amount to anything. For those who put any faith in statistics, and if my math is correct, Caledonia had the league's best pre-season GF average (a whopping 24 over three games) while London had the league's best GA average (a stingy 6 over six games). Should be fun to see what happens when the Corvair's powerful offence runs into London's sturdy back-end.
A quick look at the overage players who will not be back this year.
The Thorold Blackhawks biggest hole will be replacing goalie Ian Shorthouse...
Gotta be kidding. They have their rookie goalie back from last season, he played a lot better than Shorthouse. In fact, it was said that he's their MVP.
Fraser Kirk, a former great goalie with the Grimsby Peach Kings(JR.C) will backup Thorold's veteran goalie.

Thanks for the insight Port. You are obviously quite knowledgable about the Golden Horseshoe. Perhaps you would consider being a feature writer for the blog. We could certainly benefit from your insights.

Well thank you. I was just a little surprised to see that comment. I just wanted to make the goal-tending situation known. Thanks to Mr.Honsberger for putting in the time & effort too.

Looks like I was wrong about London. I see most of us were wrong about Sarnia so far.

And that's the beauty of making predictions and then seeing how on or off a person was in their choices.
Me ... I don't see the other teams enough to make even a guess. I did think that Sarnia would be anywhere from 5th to 7th and considering how much hockey there is still to play, there could be a lot of movement if 1 or more teams gets on a winning streak.

Well now that we are about a 1/3 of the way through the season, let’s do another round of predictions.
Chatham
Leamington
London
Sarnia
LaSalle
St. Thomas
Lambton Shores
Strathroy
St. Marys
chatham
leamington
st thomas
london
lasalle
sarnia
lambton shores
strahroy
st marys
the top 2 could go either way if leamington has a couple bad games i could see chatham beating them and same the other way around.

I don't think they're going to change much over the next month. The only question mark is 2nd place. I think it'll be a coin flip between Chatham and London.
I don't really care who we play in the first round. From a financial side, London would be better as there's no bus and no food to order, but Chatham would bring more fans. I've talked to a few fans and they think Chatham will be better to play.

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.
What about the battle for the last playoff spot? That is a tough one to call. Most folks I talk with are pulling for the Lincolns, but that is a super tight race.

I'm pulling for them too. It would be a nice change.
