LaSalle won 5-1, in Leamington, something many thought wouldn't happen.
The Falcons are now eliminated from this years playoffs, losing the Conference final to Caledonia for the second consecutive year.
LaSalle has secured the wildcard, they're now playing for the Western Conference.

Your words ring hollow. Doesn't mean much coming from a Welland fan who's team got wiped out by the Falcons a long time ago.
Welland & St.Kitts had the same fate, nothing else matters, only in your mind.

In a "shocking" turn of events Leamington goes into Lasalle and wins 3-2 after failing to do so on home ice the previous night thus ensuring the participation of both Western teams in the Sutherland semis. As I stated on the other forum this is why I am not a big fan of the wildcard system when "it seems" that outcomes can be determined. This may or may not be the case but boy does it ever look like it.

Had the same problem with the round-robin. It's basically pick your poison, a ridiculous round-robin, or a wildcard system.

Time for the OJHL to streamline it's watered-down league and bring teams like Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, Bramalea and Streetsville back to Junior B to eliminate this problem. I think that as a whole the B league is a lot more competitive save for a few teams where there are quite a few bottom-feeders in Tier 2 Junior A.
However, for the time being it is what it is. Let's just hope that these four remaining teams give us some good and entertaining hockey to watch from here on in and hopefully with no blowout victories. All double-overtime results would be nice and a good bang for the buck. Good luck to everyone!

Again, this isn't minor hockey where you're playing for points in play-offs. You're playing for wins. That's why a loss is a loss, no matter if it's regulation or overtime. That's why they don't have shoot outs in play-offs, and they play full 20 min. periods.
St. Catharines season is done, get over it already. I don't see Stratford or the Mid-West complaining about the wild card format.

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.

lol, this is why many Golden Horseshoe fans can't stand the Falcons organization. They lost, period...But nope, they have to make every excuse possible...It's the format, it's the format.

Never trust pointstreak.
