The Flood Gates are now wide open

Post by BeenThereDoneThat »

First it was Leamington leaving for the OJ and now I just learned that
Niagara Falls will also leave for the OJ beginning in Sept of this year.

The owners approved the move because they were offered another
franchise which they will sell for $400,000.

They gave their footprint away 5 years ago and now the OJ moves in.

Should this league not be a comic strip in National Newspapers

League is offering expansion opportunities. There goes the idea of a re-alignment ever happening.

Queen of the GOJHL

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.

Officially official.

The Niagara Falls Canucks will also being moving to the OJHL, starting this season (23/24)

GOJ seems to be on borrowed time.

They are an incoherent, incompetent, confused bunch!

This all started going downhill with Mark Tuck. You need people in places who will make the tough choices. But then again, those fools who tow the line end up with promotions..lol! Where is Mark Tuck now?

Stick a fork in it....this league is done!!! Get out from the OHA!

If 400k is the price of an expansion team, well, that’s pretty steep for a league with a questionable future.

I see Craig Spada is the contact person which is not bad at all…they wouldn’t have a chance of attracting expansion teams with Tim Simmons representing the GOJHL.

I wonder if there will be any interest…I can’t think of a centre where it would work…Goderich maybe?

It all comes back to the $400k. No Junior "C" team will come to the table if that is the asking price.

As you stated...don't even know where this league will be in 5 years!

I've heard rumors that possibly 5 or more teams currently in GOJHL could possibly be moving to the OJHL by as early as next year. It sounds like GOJHL could be done very soon

Didn't there was 4 or 5 teams iinterested in moving.
I know of 2 teams that have expressed interest and are waiting to see if the OJ are planning to expand again.

Get rid of the GOJHL and the OHA. Let Junior Hockey be governed by the OHF and Hockey Canada.
