50 games club

Post by Port hockey1 »

With recent mention of a player in the GOJHL having played 67 playoff games, I thought it would be fun to see who else has played a lot of playoff hockey. Below are kids with 50+ games of playoff hockey, and the two goalies with the most starts that I could find.

1. Derek Todosichuk, London...67 games, 11-22--33 points.
2. Tyler Jackson, St.Catharines...61 games, 16-20--36 points.
3. Trevor Sauder, Stratford...53 games, 18-23--41 points.
4. Mitch Klie, Elmira....50 games, 20-19--39 points.
5. Tyler Duarte, Leamington...49 games, 24-27--51 points.

Top two goalies, 17 starts each:

1. Jon D'Ilario, St.Catharines...12-5-1...2.24 GAA .923 SV%
2. Hunter Johnson, Welland...7-8-1...3.55 GAA .888 SV%

Thanks for doing the research I didn't really want to do. Based on what you've compiled, Derek Todosichuk has the most play-off experience in the entire GOJHL.

Ryan Blunt has played 62 with 5 g and 22 a for 27 points. He played 20 games with Brantford and the rest with the Corvairs, and is still adding to those totals.

67 playoff games is unreal. That's a lot of playoff hockey. :)

That's what happens when you start in the league at 16 and your team wins the Sutherland Cup in your 2nd season.
