Re: Official Off-Season Signings
Chatham has signed 2 goalies from out of town again!
From what I heard it’s Roccia who started a game for them and got pulled right away and a goalie from the Soo. Not sure if either of these goalies better then local product Brochu who had a stellar year with Dresden but only 1 local lasted the year last year so maybe Brochu turned them down

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
Flyers sing Matt Waite from BCHL. Played in QHJHL too. Looks like there ready to win this year. Have not seen any big signings from Nationals or Maroons yet. Have work to do if they want to win with all the players they lose last year.

LEAMINGTON – After a stand-out playoff series against the Leamington Flyers, the team has made a move to grab forward Lucas Fancy from the Strathroy Rockets.

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
Bryar Dittmer signs with the Sarnia Legionnaires after a year of Jr A experience. Another Chatham Kid, the Maroons are missing out on. All the young local kids gone. Really wish ownership would bring in local talent for us fans. Welch gone to komoka, fancy strathroy now leamington, Lemieux off to leamington, Dittmer sarnia. All kids in our back door that get looked over. Guess that’s what we get for owner and coach from Windsor don’t know what we have home grown

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
That the first signing I’ve heard of. Other than than announcing Co Captaincies. Pretty quiet in Sarnia. Any other signings? 16 yr olds?
Re: Official Off-Season Signings
What i'am hearing on the 16yrs olds that sarnia will wait until sting main camp begins as in the past the sting have sent 1 or 2 picks a year to them in the last 4 yrs.Who knows that could change, have heard they have spoken with some kids in the states but that's a ongoing thing some americans are not sure about playing over here as their leagues are getting better every year, things have changed a lot.Have heard from one of my sources that their is a few other kids out their have commited to other teams but I don't want to be the person to announce it.It will be a tough year for a team that is rebuilding as the talent pool seems to be smaller this year then the past.I can see other kids from other leagues coming in to make up for the kids that have left.In the next couple weeks things should pick up.I'am curious to see how many kids go back to jrC to get in a extra year of hockey.

So as I expected, Fancy is going to school that way, that's why he was traded. You can't hold a kid back for pursuing academics.flyers2011 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 10:54 am Curious what rocket girls thoughts are about fancy going from the Rockets to the Flyers ?

Re: Official Off-Season Signings

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
Correct me if I am wrong but Dittmer played with the Tikis not Braves in Brookville so not Jr A but rather Jr B

The league the Tikis play in may have a Jr B designation (because it is not underage OHA umbrella), but in reality, it's Jr C level hockey.

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
Its the same with Minor Hockey...AA in HEO is equivalent to AAA in the OHF. I guees you need a clear and present thought process to make a decision to pull semantics out and designate it AAA! Only in Ontario...lol

NEW ROCKET! We are very pleased to announce that we have signed 2000 born dman Michael Mucci from Winchester Massachusetts. Michael played the last 4 seasons with the Westford Academy where he led the defence in points for 3 years, was named a Captain, participated in the Senior Shrines All Star Game and graduated this past Spring. "He is a good skating, puck moving dman who will provide more veteran leadership and offence on our blueline this upcoming season. We are very happy to have him as he had numerous offers in different leagues and chose Strathroy and the GOJHL to continue with his development" stated General Manager Kent Coleman. Michael will wear #3 this upcoming season with the Rockets.

Does anyone know where Justin Kyle will be playing this year?
As far as I can tell, he has yet to re-up with Niagara Falls.
Thanks

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
Sarnia Signs Two
We are excited to announce the signings of Reed Stauffer and Brayden Krueger.
Reed comes to us from Saugeen Shores where he played on the Grey Bruce Highlanders Midget AAA team last season. He is a left-shooting defenseman with a strong two-way game, and showcased those skills in five games with the Legionnaires in 2018-19. Reed’s impressive play earned him an invitation to the upcoming Windsor Spitfires main camp.
Brayden is a forward from Owen Sound who also played for the Grey Bruce Midget AAA team last year. He makes an impact at both ends of the ice and is not afraid of getting his nose dirty, while also adding a scoring touch around the net. His impressive season last year earned him an invite to attend the upcoming main camp of the Owen Sound Attack.
Welcome to the Legionnaires family Reed and Brayden!

Re: Official Off-Season Signings
The Sarnia Legionnaires are proud to announce the signing of forward Ayden Letang. Ayden is a 2001-born forward who came up through the Lambton Jr. Sting system. His strong Major Midget season resulted in him being a 2nd round selection of the Owen Sound Attack in the under-18 in 2018. Last season was his first in junior hockey as he played for the Mooretown Flags, scoring 9 goals and adding 7 assists in 37 games. He brings a big physical presence and soft scoring touch to the team, and will look to continue his progress in his second season of junior hockey.
Re: Official Off-Season Signings
The Chatham Maroons are pleased to announce the signing of 03’ forward Blake Boudreau. Blake comes from the Sun County Minor Midget program where he scored 21 Goals and 30 Points in 33 games played and finished top 10 in the alliance in goal scoring. He is a very dynamic and slippery offensive player with exceptional agility and a nose for the net. He has been a consistent threat at both ends throughout training camp no matter which line or position he played. Please join us in welcoming Blake to the Chatham Maroons !

Looks like Leamington is continuing too sign American players for this season. Read that they Signed Jacob Kalandyk. Who played in the North American hockey league last season.
