If you're gonna inform people of the rules, try to give them the right rules.

Since the drawing areas were opened up, there's not as many imports, but there's still an import rule, and unless it's been changed, teams can dress 7 per game, but can sign up to 9 throughout the season. Previously, the teams had boundaries or drawing areas and if you signed a kid outside of your drawing area, they were an import. Example, Strathroy was Middlesex and Elgin counties, so if the Rockets signed a kid from Lambton county, they were an import. The drawing areas are opened, which means any player from within the footprint of the GOJHL is not considered an import player for any of the teams. So if a kid is from the Windsor area, but going to school in Waterloo and signs with the Siskins, he's not an import for them. But, this does not mean there are no imports. If a team signs a kid who resides outside of the footprint of the GOJHL, such as Ottawa or Northern Ontario, or I think select parts of Toronto, they are considered an import.

As you stated, once you're an import for 1 season, you're no longer considered an import, except for the US kids, they're always an import.

Regarding signing US kids, the border teams always have US kids, being LaSalle, Leamington, Sarnia, and sometimes Chatham. Lambton Shores used to have the occasional one as well.
Queen of the GOJHL

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.

Not a good start for the new Leamington management. Handful kids have quit and moved onto Junior B and C teams and now hearing starting goalie Connor Meyerink has also quit. Will be interesting to see if meyerink is true if so that's a major blow to the Flyers.
