I think your prediction will be pretty accurate but the bottom 4 may flip flop as well as Ancaster/St Catharines.Port hockey1 wrote:1. Caledonia

Re: 2016-2017 Season Predictions
Ancaster looks to be in great shape. St.Catharines will have the talent to finish first, but their work ethic has been questionable at times the last few years. I'm pegging Caledonia to get top spot based on their never say die attitude.
I could see any of my top 3 predictions being on top, tbh. I'm giving Buffalo a higher seed because I know of Welland's situation... That, and Fort Erie took a step back by the looks of things. Should be a great season.

Yep I agree, going to be a rough year in Welland.Port hockey1 wrote:Ancaster looks to be in great shape. Re: 2016-2017 Season Predictions
I would be very surprised if there is going to be a problem with work ethic with Chris johnstone as head coach.as for buffalo I think they are seeded too high. Going by puck coach on the other thread they are having a real problem with quality players.GOJHLfan1 wrote:Yep I agree, going to be a rough year in Welland.Port hockey1 wrote:Ancaster looks to be in great shape. Re: 2016-2017 Season Predictions
After talking to a few people, I have a good idea of what to expect in the Shoe this season.
Expect Caledonia & St.Catharines to be in a battle for 1st all season.
Thorold is on the rise, they will fight for 3rd place.
Niagara Falls & Ancaster will be different this season. Both clubs will likely be fighting with Fort Erie for 4th-6th.
Welland should have 7th locked up.
Pelham & Buffalo might be closer talent wise than many expect. Both teams should be close to 10-12 wins this season.

Re: 2016-2017 Season Predictions
I think Caledonia will finish 1st. Although the gap may be closed, compared to last seasons final standings/points, the Corvairs will likely take it. Falcons, strong goalkeeping, solid back line. No pure goal scorer, again. And much will rely on who comes back from Jr A camps. I'd like to think the Falcons can finish 2nd, but others will have a lot to say about that.

This have to be the weakest conference of all. there could be some big blow outs this year. More than last year.

Again Buffalo is a disgrace to this league. There's not one player on this team that should be playing above house league select.

And Pelham isn't much better. They barely got any players back and look to be in for another long season. But Buffalo... Blown out by a rebuilding team.BeenThereDoneThat wrote:Again Buffalo is a disgrace to this league. There's not one player on this team that should be playing above house league select.
