Moves made by Caledonia
Caledonia made the most moves in the GHL.
They picked up
- Tyler Hill from Guelph Storm http://www.sachem.ca/sports-story/62243 ... -corvairs/
-Corey Foster From Pelham
- Laim Conway from Elmira
- Davis Brown signed with Hagersville Hawks JR-C
Can play up to 10 games with Caledonia
If the Hawks are eliminated in the playoffs. He can play full time
I don't know why Caledonia has 3 goalies.
They sent
- Zach Moore to Glanbrook Rangers JR-C
- Matt Rimac to Hagersville Hawks JR-C
- Brad Johnson to Port Dover Sailors JR-C

Looks like Corey Foster still has concussion concerns, likely forced him into retirement. That's why they when out and got Laim Conway.

So Toffolo screwed them. Not surprised, guy does it for a living.Caledonia Fan wrote:http://www.sachem.ca/sports-story/62287 ... s-rangers/

Re: Moves made by Caledonia
Tonight will be the Falcons first taste of Caledonia since the Corvairs made their final acquisitions.
It will be interesting. Falcons need all the points they can get. Might they consider playing their backup keeper tonight (throw him to the wolves, for a lack of better terms) and save their starter for the game against Niagara Falls on Sunday?
Realistically, much (like way, way, way) better chance of getting points from the Canucks, than they are from juggernaut Caledonia.
I predict 8-3 Caledonia win, if #1 keeper in net for the Falcons. Then a 6-5 loss to Niagara.
or
Caledonia 12-2 win with Falcon backup in net, then Falcons 5-4 win over Niagara.

I think it will be a close game the Falcon back up goalie if he starts is not that bad,

I hope it's a lot closer than that. St Catharines is healthy and pick up some 20 year old's. Whoops shouldn't of said that.

I don't mean him disrespect. I'm a Falcon's fan. I'd love for it to be a close game. Just realistic in what Caledonia brings. It's scary on paper. And has bee scary to date, since trade deadline.three dog night wrote:I think it will be a close game the Falcon back up goalie if he starts is not that bad,
A close game would be very good for the Falcons, going in to Sunday's game.

No score after one may be a close game.

Caedonia is known for explosive 2nd periods. But after the Falcons effort last night, I'm thinking it will be close too.three dog night wrote:No score after one may be a close game.
I'll say.. 5-2 Vairs.

After two 2 to 1 for Caledonia Caledonia has quite the advantage in shots now 33 to 19.

4-1 final (empty netter). Much closer than I expected. Pleasantly surprised. But much in thanks to goal keeping. Caledonia outshot the Falcons by a landslide.
Hopefully the Falcons can keep the energy level as high tomorrow against the Canucks.

could have been, could have been
The better team won
The only reason it was close was Horodziejczyk stop 49 out of 52 shots
