I know Cale wanted to stick to playing Junior B, very happy he was able to stay in the B Loop.
The LaSalle Vipers have acquired Belle River native Cale Allen, head coach and general manager Bill Bowler announced today.
Allen, 19, stands 5’11” and 175 pounds and brings experience a gritty element to the Vipers forward group.
“His age could benefit us right now, and he could be a returning player (next year as an overager),” Bowler says. “He’s played against us and we know the player very well, and we feel like we’re lucky to get him.”
The three-year GOJHL veteran was a member of the back-to-back Western Conference champion Leamington Flyers, scoring 11 goals and 45 points in 106 regular season games and adding another six points in 39 playoff games.
“He’s very versatile, he’s played forward and defence,” Bowler says. “We know firsthand what he’s capable of. We’re going to give him every opportunity to show what he can do within our structure.”
Allen has enjoyed considerable success playing against the Vipers, posting four goals and 12 points in nine games against LaSalle over the past two seasons, and looks forward to being on the other side of the Essex County rivalry.
“I can bring some speed to the lineup,” Allen says. “It’s a good group of guys and I’m excited to get going.”
He is expected to be in the lineup Wednesday night when the Vipers host the Sarnia Legionnaires. Game time is 7 pm. Tickets are available at the gate ($9 adult, $7 student/senior, children under six get in free).

Cale Allen joins Lasalle
End of a era in Leamington
Re: Cale Allen joins Lasalle
My understanding of this situation is that Leamington's Thursday night home games interfered with Cale's classes. The Wednesday night home games in LaSalle is a much better fit for him. He will excel there.

If that's your understanding then I would tell you your doing a good job at sugar coating the whole situation. Cale Allen is a fine young man
with a clean life .He's a hell of a hockey player and in my opinion Lasalle got the better end of this deal. He will help change the complexion
of this year version of the Lasalle Vipers .You can thank Piroski and company for that. The kid was playing some darned good hockey but once
a team( Tony) has a bun on for someone you might as well call it a day .I thought Piroski was a loyalty type of guy but I'm convinced now that he's just
like the rest .This kid could have played on any team in the Jr B loop but to treat a third yr vet the way he was treated .Kid did nothing but give his heart and soul to the Flyers and made fewer mistakes than Piroski's chosen few .If You think he wasn't juggling his classes so the team felt nice enough
to move him ,I've got a bridge for sale .

Cale was going to be the odd man out, 1 goal in 17 games doesn't cut it. He now has a chance to get more ice time and help his team more then he would of been able to do in Leamington. Its a good move for both teams, Leamington now has a open card which I know they will use, and Cale is in a place where he will get more ice. win win for both organizations and the kid. As for Piroski all you have to do is look at his track record and talk to the majority of his current and former players. Just remember where Leamington was before the new ownership and Piroski took over. they won 7 games the year before and had never won a Junior B Championship. Only other person with sour grapes is Campbell and he couldn't cut it at the B level plain and simple.

The track record speaks for itself like you say .I have different hockey eyes than you and I guess that's the way it is .I appreciate and respect that you are an avid fan of the Flyers and their current Staffers . Yes they have done a wonderful job to turn the tide in Leamington. I wont publicly degrade any child by name .Take care
