St marys/ Leamington

Post by brad 36 »

Looks like st marys had a good night going for themselves tonight getting a 1-0 lead shortly into the first period and holding the it till mid way in the third before leamington got a goal. Not sure how they managed to fair out as well as they did despite being heavily out shot 55-23.
well done boys that should be a huge confidence booster.

St Mary's goalie played really well leamingtons tying goal should not have counted 2 many men coached argued can't understand 4 stripes on ice don't see it terrible to bad Lincs

Definatley was NOT too many men on the ice. As for the game full marks to St. marys they played a hell of a game, there goalie made great save after great save kudos to him. Was almost hoping the Lincs would of forced overtime and got a point to move closer to strathroy.

Lincs' #19 Matthew Philip apparently was sent down. Word has it that the Lincs have acquired Stars' forward Brody Smith via a trade. But nothing on GOJHL transactions yet confirming either move. Besides Philip the Lincs were missing Brandon Gloverr, plus back-up goalies Emanurel Vella and Ryan Langford and had APM Kyle Morning fill the spot. No matter the outcome of the game, it was obvious that head coach Jason Glover has got the Lincs playing a better brand of junior hockey. Had Paul Town not put on a goalie clinic, Leamington would have walked all over the Lincs on the scoresheet. Kudos to St. Marys for their hard work.

Looks like Lincs' #19 has been traded to Lambton Shores - now posted on transactions. No player in return.

Smith is a good pick up for the Lincs. Second line now solid with a great finisher to play alongside a great passing centre.
