Brantford shocking Mid-West

Post by Port hockey1 »

With a 5-0 start to their season I'd say they are talk of the league. Many thought they'd be battling for the final playoff spot. While it is still early, there's no way this team is as bad as originally thought.

Anyone think they'll finish top 4?

They were outworked by both Waterloo and Brampton and out shot pretty heavily. Big believer in analytics, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is a quick start.

I don't mean to discredit your post, but Brantford has only played 4 games. Somehow their game on Friday is counted twice. I'm surprised this has yet to be corrected.

Sometimes you just have to straighten your crown and remind them who they're dealing with.

Look at Will Rawski last 4 games:
DATE GAME RESULT DEC MIN GA SA SSV
09/18/15 @ Brampton 2-0 W 60:00 0 45 45
09/17/15 vs Waterloo 3-0 W 59:43 0 38 38
09/13/15 @ Niagara Falls 3-1 W 60:00 1 38 37
09/11/15 vs St. Marys 7-5 W 26:28 0 7 7

He's been the main reason why they've been so good.

Absolutely. He was unreal against Waterloo. (who have been a solid hard-working team who seems to be snake-bitten early)

Brantford seems to be coming back down to earth. In their last 10 games they have 14 goals total with 34 goals against.

Comparatively:

Waterloo has 25 goals with 45 against
Brampton has 23 goals with 48 against
Cambridge has 28 goals with 24 against.

Looks like Brantford has a solid goalie (Rawski's been REAL good) but being as young as they are (four 16 year olds I believe), they are struggling to score.
