Stratford Cullitons spin doctoring

Post by wonderdog »

Have you ever noticed that the Stratford Cullitons are NEVER EVER outshot in their own rink no matter what the final score is??? This is an occurring result game in and game out. If you don't believe me go to the GOJHL website. How can a mediocre team do this over a number of seasons? The answer is spin doctoring just like the local coverage of the Cullitons in the Beacon Herald (i.e. Stratford loses to Kitchener due to injuries and Straford loses to Elmira due to uncalled penalties). What they don't mention is that all teams have injuries or that the top scorer in midwestern league(Keli Grant) doesn't suit up for the Stratford vs. Kitchener game last week. The reporting of these games makes it seem as if Stratford got robbed when in actual fact they were outplayed and were beaten by better teams.

For decades the Cullitons were almost untouchable in the MWJBHL.... it seems that they don't find the middle of the pack very comfortable in the GOJHL.
