The Owen sound greys have ceased operations for the year and will not compete in the 2009-2010 season

One article about it is at http://www.owensoundsuntimes.com/Articl ... ?e=1580806
Doesn't sound too good for them.
Without them that would make the Midwest a conference of just 8 teams just like the GH.

YAY, NOW EVERYONE MAKES THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!!

Seriously though, can't say you didn't see it coming. It kind of surprises me they couldn't put a somewhat competitive team on the ice though. It's never good news when a team folds.

Forest, err Lambton Shores, have a couple owners that can support them financially until they can get their feet on the ground and start making a profit, or least enough to pay the bills for a season.

Isn't the old adage, you have to spend money to make money.

Nobody, not even Jim Balsilie, can expect to buy a team, a struggling team at that, without having to foot the bill for a few years.
