The Passing of Nationals Volunteer/'Super-Fan' Tim Bell

Post by TheRealJeffS » Tue Apr 09, 2019 12:02 pm

As has been shared on social media by the London Nationals and various other London sports media personalities, enduring local sports fan Tim Bell passed away on Friday, April 5. He was 58 years old.

Tim has been a fixture not only at London Nationals games over the years, but could also been seen at Western football, London Knights, and London Majors games. Tim was a volunteer with the Nationals, and proudly served as our 'flag entertainer' in the stands.

The Nationals are currently planning a pre-game ceremony in Tim's memory prior to puck-drop of Game #1 vs. Listowel.

Tim's presence at sporting events around the city will be missed.

"You do that, you go to the box, you know. Two minutes, by yourself, you know and you feel shame, you know. And then you get free."
