Hearing that Max Ewart has had enough of Trenton and will be coming back to the GO. Conversely, it appears as if Ancaster (Kilty's) goalie will be the man between the pipes for the Golden Hawks this season.

Hearing about lots of other deals involving GOJHL talent moving on to the OJHL and other Jr. A leagues throughout the country.

With a boatload of offers, apparently Tristan de Jong has decided to stay in province and sign with Oakville of the OJHL.

Rumour has Cyclone goalkeeper Max Wright and Jacob Lee both moving on to a club in the AJHL, which happens to be the 2019 RBC Cup hosts.

Peter Fleming of the Stars is apparently making the move to the Toronto patriots of the OJHL.
Sugar Kings McBay is almost assuredly moving on from the GO, although I'm hearing he has yet to choose his next destination.

Some other GO guys I'm hearing are on the move to Jr. A.

St Marys 16 year old Michael Andrews will sign with hometown Trenton.

Bobby Harrison heading to the RBC Cup host in the AJHL.

Ryan Nicholson of the Warriors will likely be joining de Jong in Oakville, with an outside possibility of Kaleb Pearson making it a trio.

Then there are guyss like Mazzilli, Dobbin and Delvechio who are drawing interest from OJHL teams such as Aurora, Burlington and Orangeville.

those are some big signings by the Maroons, definatley puts Chaham as a top contender and if the owner stays out of it and lets Makaric coach they will be a force. Makaric is a good coach. Hearing some players want out of Leamington since the ownership change. Will be interesting to see who stays there. Havent heard much vipers news except a couple local commitments.

I guess Caledonia didn't want to spend any of there 20 year old cards on these three players
or maybe these three wanted out don't know. But there looks to be big changes in Caledonia again
I don,t see to many guys returning to the team from last year.

Last I heard McBay is signed to go to St Lawrence College this season. He was signed last season but played another year in Elmira.

Legion signs 2 goalies - We would like to welcome Nolan Dekoning and his family to the Legionnaires. Nolan (brother of Legionnaire Alec) played for the Lambton Jr Sting midget AAA team. He was selected to play in the Alliance midget all star game. We would like to welcome Jakob Knowles and his family to the Legionnaires. Jakob, a Sting draft pick was selected for the PJHL prospect showcase and was awarded rookie of the year for the Petrolia Flyers this past season.

Jakob Knowles also plays Jr B lacrosse during it's season. Multi-sport athlete -- awesome.
Another DeKoning on the team sounds like a good addition.

Thanks for the info..........looks like I was misinformed! Sorry about that. Disappointing then that he is choosing to leave Elmira for this season. Wonder why.

Along with the previously mentioned Sheppard, it appears as if the Trenton Golden Hawks will add Griffen Fox of Thorold and Curtis Abbott of Stratford.

I kind of question the decisions being made by some of these young men. Are they and their families doing due diligence and their homework about some of the OJHL clubs they are signing with?

Knowing the situations and dynamics involved with some of these clubs, certain signings are head scratchers for sure.

The Strathroy Rockets continue to assemble their 2018/19 roster by signing defenseman Blake Hull and forward Carson Perry. Both players come to the Rockets after playing in the Lambton Jr Sting program and last year with the Petrolia Midgets and being affiliated players with the Petrolia Flyers in the Junior C League as 2001 born players.

He went to Elmira with big expectations a few years back and was just okay when I saw him. Will be interesting to see if more time in C is what the doctor ordered.

I believe the OJHL is currently involved in some dispute with the OHA, which in turn has left them locked out of the Hockey Canada registry. Thus, no real announcements of any player signings or trades coming from the OJHL on June 1st.

To be clear, I believe you are correct when you say the OJHL have their cards. In saying that, without being able to register anything with Hockey Canada at this time, signing guys or trading is pretty much a mute point.
It's a commitment, but, not legally valid until things get sorted out.

Commitments can change at any time, including ones to post secondary institutions. They mean very little until a card is actually signed

The St. Marys Lincolns continue to reshape their roster for the upcoming GOJHL season. On Tuesday, the team announced the signing of local goaltender Kyle Curtin. The 16 year old netminder is a draft pick of the Peterborough Petes in the OHL. Curtin stepped into a pressure packed situation during the PJHL playoffs after being called up by the Paris Mounties. With Davis McLean and Justin Hergott both unavailable, Curtin made 36 saves backstopping the Mounties to a Game 2 victory over the Wellesley Applejacks. Curtin spent the majority of last season playing for the Brantford 99'ers Major Midget team. Now he's taking the next step in his hockey career this fall, signing with the Lincolns.

Thanks for the updates. It’s unfortunate that many of the teams don’t give up to date signings. I find it weird that they wish for more fans and attendance, but don’t keep them in the loop. They take the “wait and see” approach and leave it to game 1 of the season.

The Sarnia Legionnaires have bolstered their line-up with a pair of highly-touted rearguards.
General manager Tom Norris announced Monday the Jr. 'B' hockey club has signed the brothers Clark and Ethan Allair from Temagami in northeastern Ontario.
"Both have a ton of offensive upside and can move the puck with ease,” Norris said. “We are over the moon to have these two play for the Legionnaires next year. They will add so much to our back end.”
Clark, who stands 6'2 and weighs 181 pounds, is an 18-year-old who played last winter for the Elliot Lake Wildcats of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. In fact, he won the team's Best Defenceman award after a campaign that saw him score seven goals and add 24 assists in 54 regular season and playoff games.
He was also a fourth round selection of the OHL's Owen Sound Attack in the 2017 U18 draft.
His younger brother, 16-year-old Ethan, was a first round pick (19th overall) of the Sarnia Sting in this year's U18 draft.
Ethan patrolled the blueline last season for the North Bay Trappers Midget 'AAA' squad, where he had 10 goals and 21 assists for 31 points in 31 games. He is 5'10 and weighs 170 pounds.
"I watched him play in two tournaments last year and he definitely stood out,” Norris said. “He was probably one of the best skaters in midget hockey last year.”
After he was drafted by the Sting, the club's major midget scout, Kyle Craner, said, “Ethan is a high-quality skating defenceman who likes to jump into the rush and has the ability and vision to make an accurate first pass when leaving the zone.”
Both brothers are all-round athletes who played together on a championship baseball club in northern Ontario.
In addition to the Allair brothers, the Legionnaires expect to have at least three veteran D-men return from last season.
