Re: Brent Resigns (again)
Amalgamation? You do realize that the OJHL put notices of tender to participate in the OJHL right? The asking price then was a mere $800k. Now I hear it is over a million! So you think the OJHL will just amalgamate? What do you think is going to happen when current teams cannot afford that amount? D...

Cat is out of the bag...
Well the worst kept secret out there is now..out there!!! Leamington is joining the OJHL! So next question GOJHL...what are you going to do about it?? I said this was going to happen 3 years ago when the idiotic, dumbfounded, lack of any thought capabilities presented itself when you allowed Brantfo...

Re: GOJHL AGM
I heard, that the Board and the guy who resigned who came back wanted to amend certain articles in the leagues Constitution giving themselves more power BUT it was defeated. Is he going to resign again? Or will her be advised by the OJ..oops, I mean Board to stay on to get the job done. I have been ...

Re: OHA Board
folks the ignorance is nauseating. The bounty owned the Nats in 2019! Fact. Had not been for Covid Bounty would have won 1st, 2nd and had 18 stuck around I believe 3 yrs in a row but them the breaks. Vipers were the best team after the pause but suffered major injuries. So don’t keyboard on here li...

Re: OHA Board
That is good news!! This group needs more than a few ruffled feathers! The players and the fans deserve so much more than what this crew provides. But first things first...to restore an ounce of credibility...PD should remove himself from the BofD for the OHA immediately. For optics if for nothing m...

Re: OHA Board
We are not talking about year-after-year abysmal performances. We are talking about a bounty placed on a player! You are a member in good standing with HC, its branches and member partners until you bring the game into ill-repute! Having crappy season after crappy season is not ill-repute! May be a ...

It gets worse....last two league hires.....tadaaaa...from....London Nats!! I cannot believe the kid made the Future Stars list. If that is indicative of the talent in this league, then my support for the calibre of play has taken a hit!! As for the bounty....what else would you expect when the Board...

OHA Board
Quick question..or two.. 1.) How is it that the Nats owner is STILL on the BofD with this "bounty" thing going on. At the very least, he should step down until this issue concludes. 2.) Is it coincidence that the last two hires in the GOJHL are both ex-London guys?? Time to get your hands ...

Then blow it up then!! These teams would be better served, something else I have been saying for years, but they would be better served to go back to 3 separate conferences! Logistically much easier to get things done. The way it is now, you can have something benefit one conference but the other t...

Re: New Head Coach in London
Have been saying that to ppl for over 3 years. I would serve two purposes...it would allow for decisions to be made easier and would limit the power of the current GOJHL/OHA Board who seem incapable of making proactive decisions. And hey..the last two key "hires" by this league just happen...

Okay..so we have a Commish who by all accounts was trying to get things done but was stymied by a BofD who clearly have their own agenda. I will go back to what I said 3 years ago....blow the GOJHL up. Go back to your individual conferences. Hire a Commish who would work with each conference individ...

Re: USPHL
Agreed! NCDC is om par with the NAHL...maybe 1/2 a step behind but they are sending tons of kids to the NCAA.
They applied to USA Hockey to be classified as Tier 2 but the NAHL put the brakes on that. The NCDC decided to take their show and play outside USA Hockey,
See.....it can work!

Re: New Head Coach in London
I recall saying back when they hired the new Commish that.....it was all a little too perfect. Fact is/was, he wasnt even on the short list yet somehow, he was plucked and hired. Truth is....he was an OJHL guy...could still be who knows. But he was at the table every time the Junior "A" th...

The PWHL..which is an "intermediate" league as defined by the OWHA is still allowed to play as they have been given "elite" status. Now, correct me if I am wrong as things may have changed but....Categorically, isnt Intermediate a step below junior pertaining to HC classification...

And yet, HC and the OHF are more concerned about "outlaw" leagues when they seem to fully endorse outlaws themselves. How ironic!!

Those "contingency" plans should have been in the works prior to you even stepping on the ice this season so you were prepared to face it head on. Instead, you were concerned about 1/2 visors! Who didn't see the latest round of lockdowns coming? The minute they started talking about them i...

Re: Jr. B to Jr. A Status
It will be an interesting question. The OJHL has expanded their footprint to Haliburton County and thanks to GOJ Leadership...Brantford. It would be an interesting argument....the GOJHL chiming in for Junior A status on the premise that it doesnt exist in its "geographical" footprint when ...

Re: Jr. B to Jr. A Status
Forever the skeptic....I question why/how the chosen commissioner was brought in at the 11th hour and wasn't even apart of the final 3. Saying that, he is an ex OJHL Mart Savoy clone. Who brought him to the table with in the GOJHL and what motivation was there in doing so? As well, during the vettin...

You think? I think there was more to him stepping down than just "movíng on". Joe D also stepped down.. Same day apparently.
That tells me there was something more to it. A commissioner and Board Member do not step down at the same time. More to it.

Re: Tuck steps down
Well, you need to have someone who knows the political landscape within the league and within the governance structure in this province. That is the first thing. They need to forge ahead and protect the footprint because there is a battle on the horizon. And guess what...the OJHL has exploited the G...

The OJ wasn't offering a lower fee. The $150k was the fee the GO solicited from the Collingwood entr...
