Re: 2nd Round Playoff Predictions
It is to no ones surprise that the Corvairs act the way they do. They were the most penalized team in the entire GOJHL this year. They do have a good team but in no way are they as strong as they have been in the past. They self destructed two years ago in the Suthy finals and there was no doubt in ...

Do the right thing. Suspend play for 14 days and then re evaluate the situation. Protect the players and the fans who support the GOJHL.

Why does the GOJHL and the OHA allow Buffalo to continue to make a farce out of the Jr.B Hockey League. For their first game of the playoffs in Caledonia last night, they showed up with 12 skaters. We complained about this in previous years when the OHA had full control of whatever happened in the G...

Ass;t GM, I agree your gate staff is very courteous and friendly and your concession stand is good, I don't know if its the best in the GOJHL because I haven't been to all GOJHL locations. I'm surprised you don't mention your faithful fan base. Those 60 or so people should be on the top of your list...

Calls don't go their way and the coaching staff think it is their profound duty to attack the game officials for penalizing the cheap shots the Caledonia players have become famous for.

Don Cherry's Poppy Comments
I am not a big Don Cherry fan and more often then not, I disagree with most of his rants, however, I personally believe Cherry's remarks Saturday came from his heart, not his brain. I believe his message came out all wrong and because his comments were not worded properly , the wrong message was sen...

Message to Bob Morley, Just because a person once played in the GOJHL doesn't mean he knows how to officiate a junior game. Last night in St.Catharines is a perfect example on how under qualified these people can be. At least 2 of the game officials have played in the GOJHL, neither were much of a p...

Was at the Welland/Pelham game tonight and got into a conversation with some fathers of Pelham players. According to them, many players have asked to be traded and as we know some have already have been. Ownership and head coach were the main topics of the conversation.
Time will tell.

All teams in the Horseshoe ( excluding Buffalo ) including Welland charge players. The charge per player ranges from a low of $1500 to as much as $3500.

The agreement between the Jr.A's and Jr.B's prior to this year would allow the Jr.A's to take no more than 3 players from any one team. They would pay the Jr.B club $1500 for each of the 3 players taken. Open negotiations would take place for any further player movement from said team. There was als...

Re: GOJHL Board
You are dead right. Instead of pursuing teams to create a badly needed 4th conference, the decision to chase after the Collingwood location was a selfish decision by the GOJHL Board in hopes of establishing a ridiculous cost for a Jr.B franchise. Team owners, led by a poorly advised board had many o...

I was at all 6 games in that series and the Siskins did most certainly take their foot of the pedal. A good example was their lack of disciple in game 5. This team has mostly played a disciplined brand of hockey this year and they returned to that style in their last two games. The goaltending situa...

Well game 1 went pretty much as I expected. London got thrashed by a much faster and well balanced Waterloo squad. Hope the next three games have similar results but I doubt that they will. Waterloo has not been the most consistent team during this play off run, example up 3-0 against the Falls in t...

All of the undisciplined action we have seen during the playoff shown by the Canucks, has been condoned by their coach for the entire season. His belief is, as he has so often stated, if it takes bullying to win, then so be it, what will be will be. Well Frankie boy, now that McCabe and Mendonca hav...

Potrecz write up, Mar.14-- Pelham coach states that he would be doing a disservice to his hockey club if we didn't know what Niagara Falls would be doing or at least what they have done in the past.
