Re: Listowel in 0-2 hole
Waterloo has kept Huber off the board. Gazzola has been matched hard against him and it seems to be working in Loo's favor.

How about that big win in Listowel for the Siskins? Crosby said they had no chance other than at their home rink.

Just pointing that out. Nothing bad to say about Caledonia. They win, by the rules.
I would say I'd like the league to change to a younger league, but it's a more personal opinion.

Re: Kitchener hangs on for game 1 win
They're a generally "soft" team with high end offense. I have my reserves about their ability to grind it out. It's why I really think Listy or Stratford are the teams to beat in the MidWest.

Re: Midwest Junior C MWJCHL
Ayr will win the division. They have Klie and Serapham. Any idea why those two left Elmira? They would have a good team with those two still there. :) Doesn't one of them have an NCAA commitment for next season? Seraphim I think? I heard Klie was really unhappy with Elmira management last year and ...

No Midwest fans on here?
Looks like New Hamburg is first into the finals, and Ayr is up 3-0 on Wellesley. They should clinch tonight I believe.

This just shows what a pathetic joke the voting system is. Time to get with the times and have the fans cast ballots online. The perfect way to make voting not a joke - online voting? Re: Fourth conference?
Does anyone know anything about the OHA "Premier" league? I'd rather have that than a 4th conferences. Perhaps that's why there's talk of teams leaving the GOJHL loop? The OHA needs to get their head out of their asses, sit down with the NOJ, CCHL, OJ and GOJ and sort out something. Too m...

Here's an old article on the OJ putting out the interest to to the GOJ about two teams.
Still think it will be something like Caledonia and a team from the Midwest (Cambridge, Kitchener, Brampton?)

It's a joke of a league. Is Hockey Canada perfect? Nope. I hate the way they want to ban players based on passport. Americans and Europeans mixed in with our local boys have made the GOJ a lot better. But with the GMHL... more than half of the league ice non-complete teams, with more than 2 goalies ...

I like the sounds of that.
The league needs to work towards being a real feeder development league. The D1 and D3 pipeline hasn't been as good lately. Work on that, as well as development of OHL talent.

We were all wrong about Brampton as well, myself included. I don't expect the standings to change much over the month of February. Well they did sell off - Brampton - by moving Pullicino and Goodman to Waterloo (Goodman is a top six), and Vietri to Kitchener (a top line guy)... so maybe they fall a...

I realize that big bucks are paid for many players, but not for a rookie forward like McGhee who scored 3 times in 18 games. He would be worth the standard release fee, nothing more. More in response to "The Rockets best player isn't worth 3K" As an example, a guy like Lucas Latina, would...

If the Rockets were trying to deal McGhee for 3 grand, that would imply that he still wanted to play in the GOJHL, not just with the Rockets. I can't see where he is worth $3000. The Rockets' best player isn't worth 3K. Book value is likely just a couple of hundred bucks. I enjoyed watching him pla...
