Wellands goal tending has to be better than last year for sure! Hopefully they got rid of Mr B the scout? New HD scout is a class act all the way!
Not sure who had that American kid come in last mid season but he was a cancer for the team and couldn't skate, why bring those players in?

Leamington Flyers starting goaltender Connor Meyerink has swithed over to the Essex 73's this evening! The 73's have just got a hole lot better! Nice!

Re: 2018-19 Predictions
Chatham will need to secure better goal tending to support finishing in top spot! Some of the so called ringers they picked up will need to bring it every night, they're gifted, but lack heart! Anxious to see how they respond to new Coach "Mac" he can be a bit of a head case (especially If...

Re: Social Media
I know for a fact that the $750 and the OHA administration fee had to be paid to play for that team before they could step on the ice for 1st game at showcase!

Re: Social Media
Granted owners don't always have much to say in terms of arena ice management, etc. But if Wellands ownership was not to blame for any or all things gone wrong for that team. Why is it that only 1 player from the entire roster from last year has returned? Players usually can't wait to come back and ...

I am with Don Cherry on the " Why are we droping Good Canadian hockey players only to replace them with American players. Nothing against our US neighbors, but Its just not right, lots of talent here, there is no benefit to our kids game doing that!

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
This GOJHL disturbance that has unraveled over the summer has me really wondering what its going to look like in 365 days from now? 18 teams here, 7 teams there. It just makes no sense? I kind of feel bad for those that work/donate their free time for the GOJHL that want to do the right thing for th...

Especially in this day and age were social media is so inexpensive and so powerful in terms of connecting with anyone, anywhere, anytime! It would definitely help teams in terms of fan support and player marketing.

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
Lots of alternative for sure! But the players I see coming down to play PJHL aren't 20 they are more in the 17 to 18 year range. They tell me because its close to home, they can sleep in their own beds and still be treated the same as if they were playing A or B!! Much cheaper if I might add also.

Not really sure how they run their administration overall. But it does appear that they could maybe use a bit of guidance in terms of administrative support, media promotion, etc.

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
I think its a great way to check out/gauge the new young talent fresh on the seen that (showcase) weekend. See how they react to the Junior B environment pace, plus or minus the few OHL picks/vets that may not be sent down yet. Then they can compare to how the new young talent as developed through t...

Nope, none of it is out yet? Lots of Junior B kids jumping ship to PJHL and OJHL as a result from the of lack of info. Just doesn't seem fair to the players and their families which are the foundation of it all? Puck drop only 30 days away. I sure it will all work out but seems like a pretty crammed...

Re: 2018-19 Signings
Welland is stating that they only charge $395.50 to play there! Caveat to those running there to save! The players get 1 stick! They will still have to pay the GOJHL $750 on top of that and may have to fork out the remaining billet cost if billeted and want to stay on the roster after Dec 01st, etc!...

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
There are a few GO players that are getting anxious to know where their fate lies for sure! Other leagues are aware of this and seem to be trying to scoop up players caught in the hush, hush of it all. Some GO teams haven't even sent out their Main Camp dates yet?

How mush does it cost for a player to play in the PJHL vs GOJHL? I've seen lots of Junior A and OHL scouts at PJHL games over the years?
Understanding that they are both different animals so to speak in terms of skating, passing, etc!!

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
In Southwestern Ontario we have so many good young talented players in the GO, OJ and even some throughout the PJ! Its crazy how often this fact is over shadowed by the governing. money and politics of it all! These 3 leagues are all great in their own regard, we need to support them, its important!...

I hope the St. Marys Lincolns fans come out and support their local Junior B team this upcoming season, they deserve it. They have great team Brand, all around good team support. I watched them play Guelph at the showcase last season. It was one of the most exciting games I saw that weekend!

Re: GOJHL'ers going to OJHL
Last season's Oct , Dec and Jan deadlines seem to have funneled in quite a few Junior A player's into the GO, but having watched some throughout the league they never really stock out or made positive impacts to the team, their skating and hockey skill were less to be desired for the most part. Espe...
