Re: Coach Mike Bullard

The point is that you can't go by record to determine who is a better coach. Masterson won 2 Sutherlands and might have been 3 in a row between 96 and 98. Was that due to pure talent or coaching. Bullard won 4 in a row but also had the resources. I would suggest Bullard has even better resources th...

Re: Best goalie

Idk about savoury. He seems like a average goalie with likely the strongest defence In front of him. In my mind it is mcmorriston. Savard has to be considered but again there is the problem of a pretty good D core in front of him. A lot of really good goalies I LOL...thinking about the argument, Bu...

Re: Coach Mike Bullard

This is no different than my opinion of Terry Masterson formerly of the NF Canucks. Great record but always was able to re-load due to resources ($). Terry is now coaching the Niagara Whalers who currently sport a record of 20-1 . I almost spit my drink out reading this. Only similarity between Mas...

Re: Best goalie

Well, I won't comment on Savory for obvious reasons...other than saying, he has to be considered 'one of the best' in the league. McCorriston, for sure! Neither Canucks goalies, would I put at the top. I haven't seen Savard enough in Caledonia, but he's got two wins against the Falcons where he was ...

Re: Coach Mike Bullard

The test would be how would Bullard do with a team of lesser talent. A guy like Bryan Kelly, when he had the old Port Pirates. Now in Thorold. He gets the best our of lesser teams. I'd argue the 'greatness' of Bullard. He's coached his stud teams, agreed. I would be more inclined to say Mr. Rizzo is...

Re: Caledonia VS St Catharines

Although a big score, 5-1 win. I don't think the score indicates what kind of game it was. I thought Caledonia was absolutely flying in the first period. Corvairs keeper had a solid night. Can't say many goals were his fault at all. Falcons keeper, Savory, was lights out though. The luxury Caledonia...

Buffalo vs Caledonia

Well, the score was predictable. Buffalo's roster size was pretty much predictable. Shots were predictable as well. What I didn't see coming, was the penalties assessed to Caledonia. I know they're leading the league, but I thought the intensity level may have been pulled back on the throttle in tha...

because they have a group that's capable of knocking both St.Catharines & Caledonia off in the playoffs if their coach has them on top of their games. Niagara Falls depth will make things interesting this season. I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one point. I agree that they're cap...

Maybe he was one of the only ones willing to go or asked to be traded who knows. Players are allowed to decline trades so obviously he ok with it. I'm just saying, based on his remarks, I think he was surprised. Yes, he would have had to approved of the move for it to be finalized. But I doubt he a...

Why did they trade Green? He was having a great season. :? They needed room for DiTomaso and Pastorious. Maybe he was one of the only ones willing to go or asked to be traded who knows. Based on his comments in the news article, I don't think he wanted, or expected, to be traded. No denying what Di...

Would never have guess the Falcons were 15 in PK tonight after they shut down Ancaster power play and their great record. Re: Surprizes So Far

Here's one that surprises me. Falcons are 15th in PK. It's something they always have pride themselves on. But are horrible this year (compared to previous years efforts). They could find themselves doing even better than they are, if they can stop the odd PP goal against. Thorold's only three goals...

I saw two interesting posts...in regards to new artwork to consider for the Chicago Blackhawks. Link is below. But first, I quote a post I read, where the origin of Blackhawks comes from. From a warrior, called Black Hawk. This is not my quote, but rather a post I read. "Nice logo but it has no...

I don't disagree with you at all, on any of your points. I don't think I made my point clear. The only difference between them & Caledonia is Caledonia has more resources to add players from higher levels. If the Falcons, or any team had those same resources they'd do the exact same thing. Yes,...

It's amazing what money can do for the Falcons! Can't imagine DiTomaso costed them lightly. $$$$$$$ I'm not sure I quite follow what you're saying here? I can't imagine you're suggesting the Falcons are the team in the league that buys success? They've been a second place team the past few years. A...

Good first match up last night between the Falcons and the Corvairs. First one of the season is usually a feeling out affair, for the rest of the season. Re: 2016-2017 Season Predictions

I think Caledonia will finish 1st. Although the gap may be closed, compared to last seasons final standings/points, the Corvairs will likely take it. Falcons, strong goalkeeping, solid back line. No pure goal scorer, again. And much will rely on who comes back from Jr A camps. I'd like to think the ...

I've just been getting a kick out of the two Corvair fans arguing with each other over whether we fell apart or not in the third during games. :D Things get a little crazy during the year, but no denying we love playing the Corvairs. Re: Kitchener(1) vs Waterloo(6), 2nd Round Playoff Thread

Waterloo pulls off another one. Up 3 games to 0. Kitchener takes a Major at the end of the game for running goalie. Didn't see it, read the game sheet. I trust the goalie is ok, and this wasn't a horrible play by the Kitchener player to get a hot goalie out of the series.
