9 Power Play opportunities for Niagara Falls last night.
They managed to go 2 for 9, but that simply won't cut it against Caledonia. You need to punish that team when up a man.

Because the Jr. Sabres are a well run, respected organization, that is currently operated by several well know hockey guys. Mike Peca, Larry Playfair, Kevin Adams and Nick Tuzzolino to name a few.
The Regals are a dumpster fire. End of story.

I wonder if those 3 players had a talk with each other on where to go. A package deal so to speak. Looking at their stats all 3 played for the same Oakville Rangers squad growing up.

Busby is a very nice signing for the Falcons. Quality defenceman for sure.
Not sure how to project the other two signings, they look more like depth at this point, which is always nice.

Re: Golden Horseshoe Standings 2017-2018 predictions...
Caledonia, St. Catharine's and Niagara Falls is all that really matters. The GH has become more predictable than ever. Hopefully one of Welland, Ancaster etc. can rise up. It's nice to see Cinderella making a run, like Welland a few years ago, or Port Colborne and Josh Wall when they were upsetting ...

Re: why do players leave for the junior A leagues
All the AAA parents that paid $10K for their kid to play minor hockey can afford $5K for them to play Jr., So teams and leagues are willing to charge it. Those AAA games are also free to attend, and there is no souvenier revenue to help off set costs. Often enough players could get individual spons...

Re: GMHL entry draft coming up on May 15th
I am neither a proponent or opponent for this league. Junior teams in the OHA used to do the same with 15 year-olds back in the day. The would sign and sit in the stands which is equivalent to zero development. I remember waaaay back when the Provincial Junior loop would always laugh that the GMHL ...

Yup, the OHA has nothing to do with scheduling, it all comes down to home game day preference and arena/ice availability.

Pretty sure this thread isn't about me, so how about you guys congratulate London on their 4th Conference Championship in 6 years. Are you kidding? Looks like St. Catherines has a chance if they can push the series to 7 and Listowel takes the next 2.

Really hoping both these teams advance to the next round.
Not sure exactly where the formula sits at this moment, but it obviously comes down to the Shoe and Mid West.

From Pointstreak transactions: Caledonia 04/05/17 DEL Lindberg, Brandon (F) placed on league suspension for minimum 4 games That's absolute trash if what is being described (even by Falcon supporters) holds up. Not only does it directly affect this series, but any series going forward if Caledonia ...

I'll ask again since it seems to have been burried. Anyone know what's going on with Savard if his OHL Sudbury Wolves get eliminated? Does he end up back in Caledonia?
