Re: Changes to GOJHL Blog

New forum sux!

I once again tried to log into the new forum for the Shoe. My password doesn't work. Why try to fix a forum that isn't broken???

I give up on it, I'm sure others will as well. Sorry Kevin, but switch it back or shove it up your you know what. :smt018

It's a new season

Hello everyone, just writing to see how things are shaping up for next season. I'm hearing that Chatham could be a 3-5th place type of team this season. Some were expecting a big rebuilding year, but I'm hearing things will be a bit better than originally expected. So, how's the rest of the division...

Re: Changes to GOJHL Blog

Wow!! It must be nice that the West gets to keep it's own forum while the 'Shoe gets shoved on the new GOJHL forum. The new forum is absolutely horrible. No dates or time of posts, only the name of who started the original thread. I doubt anybody will post on that forum especially since nobody has ...

Re: OHA denies Junior A Request

Topics have a tendency to wander off a bit but sometimes they get way off the mark and need to be redirected. The there is the arguing which is ok but sometimes the bickering gets to be a bit much. Sometimes a mod or an admin will try to steer things in a better direction, sometimes they make post ...

Re: OHA denies Junior A Request

The only player I've heard from the league that has advanced himself so far is Verboom? One player in the entire league was able to secure a scholarship? That right there is why kids want to go to the OJHL, CCHL, BCHL, etc. As stated, Kestner got himself a scholly, I can't remember where he's going...

Re: OHA denies Junior A Request

Joe, how do you feel about $15,000.00 for a player? That's basically been the price set in this Conference now. And it just keeps getting dirtier and dirtier. Re: OHA denies Junior A Request

Maybe its time for the GOJHL to leave the OHA. What is the difference from the HNO Hockey Northwestern Ontario and HEO Hockey Eastern Ontario? They are on there own. On the other forum a comment says the GOJHL will appeal the decision to the OHF. The OHF is supposedly in favor of the jump to Jr.A.

Waterloo vs Stratford

Predictions? Should be a good series. :)

Prediction: Stratford in 7

I don't know much about these teams but Stratford has been on fire including a 15-3 run to end their season.

Re: Kitchener vs. Stratford

Congrats to Stratford. Not just for the fact that they've made it to the finals, but sweeping the first round...Then taking out Kitchener in 5, wow.

Not bad for a team that was around .500 for most of the season. Best of luck in the finals. :)

Re: Kitchener vs. Stratford

Kitchener has been amazing all year... but Stratford always builds for the playoffs.... when I saw the Cullitons won Game 1... for a second I felt shocked... but then I thought about how the Cullitons played the last half of the season and I wasn't shocked anymore.... Any thoughts on this match up?...

Brampton shocks Elmira beating them 3-1

Brampton came ready to play, it doesn't look like Elmira did for the first two periods though. After a scoreless first period that saw Brampton out-shoot Elmira 10-8, Brampton broke through with a pair of second period goals. They out-shot Elmira 11-8 in the period. Elmira came out firing in the thi...

Who do you think this seasons best underdog is for the playoffs?

I'd pick Guelph. They've really turned it around this season, mostly in the second half.

A closer look at the standings

I thought it would be interesting to break the season down into two sections. The start of the season until Nov.20th. And Nov. 21st until now.(Jan.27th) I did this for all three divisions, the other two can be found on their boards. Start of season until Nov. 20th: 1)Kitchener 21-3-0 42 pts. 2)Elmir...

Who are this seasons favorites

I see Kitchener is leading the pack with Elmira & Waterloo right on their tail. So anyone have any thoughts on who will represent the Mid-West in this years Sutherland Cup round robin?

My pick would be Elmira, they look to have the most depth.
