Re: PJHL Week in Review
Dorchester will probably win their division but once again will get blown out by Essex or who ever comes out of Stobbs division.

Re: Overtime
The PJHL overtime is also seven minutes of 3 on 3. Can't imagine that many of these overtimes will go long. I suppose it's one way to try to eliminate tie games without going the shootout method. I like the idea that the losing team in OT doesn't get a point, it's the way it used to be years ago.

I'm going to guess that he left on his own, Scott Eby was on their staff last year I don't imagine they'll miss a beat.

Re: Schedule
Pretty sure it's a Pointstreak deal, the Midwestern C League schedule has been finalized for three weeks and some teams have posted them on their sites but Pointstreak still hasn't added them on their site yet.

I did just look at the release and saw that though. It's the only place that shows that, but yeah, you think they could have at least checked this out before putting it in a media release.

Looking at his Bio and the only thing I see is that he played for the Nationals in his playing days and that he has coached in the London Jr Knights system the past five years.

Re: Big hill to climb for Simcoe
Funny thing is this isn't this GM's first rodeo. He has been with Paris for quite a while even was a part of building their championship team in 2014. It is odd that he would be telling them about their ice time as one would think that would be the coaches job to decide. Come to think of it this is...

Re: Junior C Province Wide
The OHA better find more referee's then if they want the four man system year round in C. Biggest reason it hasn't happened yet is they don't have enough referees now to go to a four man system year round.

Re: Junior C Province Wide
I heard that they have agreed on their overtime format for all of the conferences in this new province wide league, it will be 3 on 3 and the OT periods will be seven minutes. There will not be shootouts which means the return of ties. There also won't be a loser point like some of the leagues have ...

Re: Team changes and new teams
The Tillsonberg team will be the same clowns that had the team in Simcoe (Norfolk) last season. They have left a path of unpaid bills and unfilled promises to their players. It was a total disgrace both off and on the ice. They are in partnership with the league owners, so no wonder it was a gong s...

Ayr wins their first Schmaltz Cup after defeating Pt. Hope 5-2 sweeping the series in four games. Even more impressive is the fact that Ayr only lost three playoff games during this whole run and swept both the semi's and the final series. Congrats to Ayr on one hell of a run.

Re: Team changes and new teams
They've added a team in Tillsonburg as well. I can't see it working as their home nights will be the same as the Sr A team that has been in town for almost a decade and draw really well, I don't see how playing on the smaller pad with almost zero seating is going to work out for them. I guess when y...

Re: 2 Teams Leaving for the OJHL?
I heard the idea was to add franchises - Woodstock in the Midwest? Maybe Ayr? - from Junior C to fill in the holes. You would be better off trying to get Grimsby to move to B before trying to add a Woodstock or Ayr to replace the two teams. It wasn't all that long ago that Woodstock was on the verg...
