Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
What does OHL affiliation have to do with the Predators moving to Komoka? But since that's what you guys are talking about, riddle me this.... Is it a benefit or a hindrance to have an affiliation agreement with an OHL club? Well gosh darnet, its amazing what one can find out by doing a little rese...

Is it a benefit or a hindrance to have an affiliation agreement with an OHL club? I think most Jr. B managers would look at it as a hindrance and that is wh...

Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
Senior AA final between Clinton Radars and Petrolia Squires this past year were drawing 1700 - 2200 fans per game, not many Jr. B teams draw that and the year Komoka was in the final they drew less than 100. Most teams in the AA loop draw 400 - 600 fans to regular season games not many Jr. B...

Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
Blah blah blah. your connections are a stretch at best. Under your theory the Lambton shore predators should have gotten all the Knights because they were coached by Brian Dobbin who was from Petrolia and was friends and team mates of the Hunters growing up. Brian Dobbin's sister Barb Clarke is Rand...

Not sure what the point you are trying to make is?

Do I get it yet? I am sure some kids stay close to home DP. Some kids drafted by OHL teams are actually not from the area the respective OHL team is located. If there is a relationship between an organ...

Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
When Seth Griffth from Wallaceburg was a 4th round draft pick of the Knights he played in St Marys with Merlin Malinowski as coach and Warren Nye as manager neither with a London Knight connection, at the same time twins Matt and Ryan Rupert drafted by the Knights were playing in Lambton shores. bec...

Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
Of the three Lincolns players you mention that have London Knight connections only one would be considered a "top prospect" Bill Moskal drafted in the second round of the 2016 priority draft and surely the Knights would have approached likely several teams asking them if they had an intere...

Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
If this is true than it is a huge mistake in my opinion. The Komoka Classic's won the Senior AA championship 4 years ago playing out of the Komoka arena on Saturday night's and they only drew approximately 40-50 fans per game, in games that featured many ex Jr. B. and Jr.A and NCAA and pro players o...

The Rockets don't need someone like who's name we will not speak. The reason the Sting let him go were more than hockey related.

Until such time as having video evidence that refs can access easily during a game -- you know, like in the NHL where a call is made to the head honchos who have multiple angles to see a play and they determine if there is sufficient evidence to reverse the call -- we will have to deal with what is...

Agree with everything he say's other than the part where he say's Simcoe Storm would say the same thing. I know a player that played back in 2010 that turned down many offers including an offer of $4,000.00 to finish the year from January 9/2011 on, in Simcoe and another $8,000.00 to be one of the o...

Re: YETMAN'S LACROSSE GOAL
Fans at the Chatham/Strathroy game at the WMMC Saturday night were treated to a lacrosse-style goal by Maroon Bryce Yetman. It was amazing to see. I've seen them on TV/video before but never live. He scooped the puck up at the side on the goal and deposited it in the top corner OVER the crossbar. A...

Re: What Should the GOJHL Do?
A good read. Personally I think the league ( and I know they have tried ) should drop the " B " moniker, yes it is only a letter but all through life people are told A's are better than B's which are better than C's, etc, etc, it starts in school and is even on your damn drivers licence, a...

Re: Owners need to come up with a plan
As I have said many many times before the problem is teams in the GOJHL have no leverage when a player no longer wants to play for them. Lets talk St Marys, Lambton Shores and Strathroy in the west. These three teams start off at a disadvantage because they are all small centers compared to the othe...

Former Strathroy AP Dawson Cook has signed with the London Nationals. Cook racked up 66 pts in 32 Jr C games in a season split between Aylmer and Strathroy's affiliate club the Lucan Irish. He joins GLJRC Rookie of Year winner and former St Thomas AP Kyle Dawson from the Dresden Kings. Lucan was co...

Re: "Weir-y" of Change
The only way I see this type of format flying is if the GOJHL moved to a primarily weekend league. Listowel and Stratford aren't likely going to be big fans of the 4+ hr bus rides to LaSalle and Leamington for mid week games. A recruiting advantage the Midwest has now for student athletes is that mo...

It was my thought (when I heard that Brendan Riggin was named head coach) that the Riggin family (uncle Pat, father Larry) had invested money in the team. The manager may have his hands tied in trying to replace him.

It will be interesting to see how many players jump ship to the GMHL jr "A" league that is putting expansion teams in London, Komoka, and Kingsville for the 2015 - 16 season. Those teams will be based in the GOJHL western conference zone

Coach Piroski on ctv news after game one basically said London was lucky to win the game and he " guaranteed " a different outcome for game two, not sure he meant his team would be shutout but he was right, it was a different outcome.

:smt006 wonder if the possibility is there that the Hunters would buy them and start their own farm team for the knights??? Doubt it, they had that when they owned Petrolia and it didn't work out. [quote="BLACKHAWKDOWN"]Yes 'EaglesRock' is trolling and he had a decent haul here. There is no sense in complaining about how Brantford buys their players because over the years there have always been a few teams in nearly every 'amateur' junior league who have done the same thing be it in...
