St. Catharines 12/14/16 DEL Slobodzian, Ethan (G) traded to Thorold
Thorold 12/14/16 ADD Slobodzian, Ethan (G) acquired in trade from St. Catharines
Interesting, guess they are going with Oude Vashaar. Good pick up for Thorold.

Re: Disparity in League
Just look at the standings in the divisions the last several years and you can see which teams can consistently deliver top level teams. I would love to see a promotion relegation system like English soccer. This would give teams the opportunity to move up or down according. I would much rather see...

Hope for the best for him but I wouldnt get hopes up. He may struggle seeing how he wont be seeing 80 shots a night when he plays. Unless he only plays Buffalo then shouldnt be a problem.Cali vairs! wrote:I'm surprised he didn't start tonight. He will give a real good challenge for the number 1 spot

Re: Best goalie
Someone on Fort Erie cross checked a Welland player into him late in the game Saturday night and he left. Injured. Oh man....that's a tough loss. Hopefully he's back soon. Hate facing him, but love watching him. http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca/2016/11/25/bs-backup-benefitting-from-practising-at-hi...

That's insane.he will be the backbone of that team for a couple more years if he stays around. Filling in nicely for Janzen That's what concerns me, Trenton will probably be an option for him next season... I noticed he didn't play for Welland tonight?! Didn't dress. Not sure why. Would love to see Oude Vashaar on a competitive team see what he can do. Its just like Harvey on Pelham last year played outstanding but the team in front of him was horrible. McCorriston would definitely be right at the top of the list as well. Dentico? I wouldnt put him in top 3-5.

Are you kidding me. They've been a train wreck from day one. I know your intentions are good but I say, let them fold and try again when they move from the Buffalo area( Port Colborn) and get committed and legitimate Jr. B players. Get rid of them now and " Lets Make The Horseshoe Great Again&...

Re: Buffalo has FOLDED
I just received confirmation that the game is back on for tonight. The Regals have also signed two players with real Junior Hockey experience (NOJHL & NAHL) and are hoping to ink a 3rd this afternoon with GOJHL experience. I know things have been a joke so far this season, but they are trying t...

Saw them play last week in Port Colborne and they gave the Whalers all they could handle. Kind of shocking when I read this. Sucks for the players.

Re: Buffalo has FOLDED
The sad part about all of this, nobody in the OHA office will be disciplined for the way the whole Buffalo situation was handled. They should have never been let back in. They have made a joke out of the GOJHL and the Niagara Region. I agree that all points against Buffalo (wins and player's points...

1 really bad team in the GOJHL doesn't make up for the 10-15 bad teams in the GMHL. No comparison whatsoever.

Re: Buffalo - Pelham
Buffalo is a disgrace and someone in the OHA office should be fired. Pelham is better, but they can only compete with Ancaster, Niagara Falls, Thorold and Welland who are not very good. Fort Erie is a disaster and will remain that way if American players remain imports season after season (rule has...

Re: Niagara
Most of the teams are pretty bad at least in Niagara's conference. There are a few that will at least put up a fight against them like Kingsville/St George but they should have a pretty easy ride to the finals.

They have this thing at the stupidest time. Players go home for the Christmas break and others like parents and fans work that day. 3pm first game how stupid. They should just take a break 1 weekend during the season and have it on a Saturday.

Have been to all 3 games in which they faced each other. Always very entertaining. Love the St.Catharines arena but would prefer watching games in Caledonia because of one simple fact. The worst thing is, their management is so stupid. Their kids are actually jerks on the ice and that pisses off the other teams even more. Maybe he was one of the only ones willing to go or asked to be traded who knows. Players are allowed to decline trades so obviously he ok with it.
