Re: LaSalle eliminates mighty Sugar Kings
Maybe the wild card is not the best, but I like it better than the round robin . It gives you 4 spots to fight for during the playoffs. I think more people were watching the wild card spot, more than the conference champs. St Catharines last year had one of the best jr B teams in years and so did Ca...

Re: Caledonia pushes Flyers to Brink of elimination
I haven't seen enough western conference games only a couple on you tube , we-tv and the showcase back in Oct. I love your passion for the western conference but to say the west is more physical. This just tells me you haven't seen enough games from the shoe or mid-west. Look at the PIMs for each co...

Must of been a barn burner in LaSalle tonight. I saw on twitter that Korey Morgen won the game with one of the prettiest OT winners you'll ever see in your life .Can't wait to hear from someone who was at the game.

Re: Caledonia grabs 2-1 series lead
Caledonia game 3 winner, not a very exciting game, not like the game in Leamington. A good game from Kevin Entmaa, but not a good game from Caledonia or Leamington . I was surprise to see how many shots on net. It didn't seem like that many. Leamington had there chances to make a game of it . They h...

A Great Hockey Game
WE made the 3 hr drive to Leamington Sunday for the game. Almost got a speeding ticket by Chatham. Leamington has a beautiful arena a lot like Fort Erie. Good burger + fries , cold beer and a great game. Leamington team is build for there big ice they didn't look comfortable in Caledonia. Same with ...

Re: Game 2 Caledonia at Leamington live on YouTube
Does anyone know how Caledonia's nickname "Corvairs" originated? It is quite unique. In 1962 the Caledonia Corvair hockey club needed funding from the local Wills chev/olds dealership. Corvair the new Chevy compact featured at the time seemed to be an appropriate name to coerce the dealer...

Re: Sutherland Cup round 1 predictions
I think the larger ice surface will make the Corvair offense ever more lethal than it already is. Some opponents may wish to schedule games against them in a phone booth. The goaltenders and special teams will have to make adjustments on the bigger ice surface. The St Catharines series was like pla...

With Peacock or without Peacock Caledonia doesn't have problem scoring 242 GF second in the GOJHL.
Rumour is he will be back but they might see how the first couple of games go.

Cal and the falcons would be a great finals but I think would be the same outcome. Sorry to say that about my team but I think it really comes down to coaching. Every time falcons get the lead coaching staff makes the team try to sit on it. Cal completely opposite they keep pressing. At this time f...

Re: Go Cal.
It's too bad wanted to see St Catharines and Caledonia in the finals like last year.
I picked them for the wildcard spot. It's not right 3 overtimes and nothing to show for it.
Only wins count?
I like the stand behind the conference comment RIGHT ON!

Caledonia in 6
Interesting to see Caledonia on that big ice surface.
Elmira - 5
I saw Elmira play a few times this year there a big team.
I thought Reinhart was so so but he's been outstanding in the playoffs.

I believe it was Quilty of the Corvairs. He was seeing dots after taking the stick to the eye and was nearly blinded. So are you saying it didn't happen now? Oh ya, now I remember it well. I think the headlines in the "Caledonia Gazette" said "Blind Player Quilty Scores Goal For Corv...

How about them referees you had last night? Interested to see what you guys thought of them. Actually RG, I thought Thornton and Murray called an excellent game (probably the best I've seen all year). They let the boys play hockey and called what they should have, which gave both teams two powerpla...

Re: Falcons blow 3 goal lead, win on questionable call in 2nd OT
I don't know if any buddy seen the game on channel 14 Rogers (local) Hamilton. When Caledonia scores to make it 2-1 in the first and the goal called off because the net was off. Channel 14 clearly shows the puck went in before Csiernik pushes the net off. Csiernik push the net off not on a kick out ...

If Collingwood gets a team do they go into the Mid-West league.
And Brantford comes into the Goldenhorse Shoe.
Was Collingwood turn down twice all ready?
Something about subsidizing the busing costs to teams coming there to play.
Want about BUFFALO ARE THEY DONE?
