Re: Caledonia vs St.Catharines, Finals, Predictions

Caledonia with the 3-0 win. The Falcons are now down 3 games to 0. Looks like the Falcons top players aren't very concerned about winning in the playoffs. They took bad penalties, that led to suspensions against Ancaster. Then last night, the biggest game of their season... One of their best forward...

Re: Caledonia vs St.Catharines, Finals, Predictions

The Falcons have a good chance to get back in this series;
TRANSACTION
Caledonia Barwell, Jesse (F) placed on league suspension for 2 games
But the Falcons also lost Dunda for 1 game. Still though, that's a big hole for the Corvairs to fill the next two games. Might be the break the Falcons needed.

Finals, Listowel vs Elmira Predictions

Listowel got a good fight out of Waterloo, as their second round series went 7 games. Listowel has a lot more depth at forward than Elmira. It`s hard to comment on their defence, as I haven`t seen either team play this season. But it looks like it might be a goaltender battle in the finals. Elmira h...

Caledonia vs St.Catharines, Finals, Predictions

On paper Caledonia has a deeper team at forward. But I think the Falcons have a deeper defence, and a better goalie. Either team could win this series.

But I`m taking St.Catharines in 7 games.

Re: St.Catharines vs Ancaster thread

The Falcons win 4-1, despite playing with four players out of the lineup. They still only gave up 12 shots on goal. Way to go Falcons.

Stratford Eliminated

Two upsets so far in the 2nd round.

Elmira takes out Stratford in 6 games

St.Thomas takes out Leamington in 7 games.

Could be two more upsets coming.

Waterloo's looking to eliminate Listowel in game 7, and Ancaster is looking to do the same to St.Catharines.

Not too bad this post season. I called Caledonia over Niagara Falls in 5, and St.Thomas over Leamington in 7. I think this is the best I've ever done with these predictions. lol

St.Thomas vs London, finals, predictions

I don't think too many people thought St.Thomas would be in the final. So I won't be surprised if nobody picks them to beat London in the finals. London is a very deep team. I'd like to see the Stars keep their run going and take out London in 7...

But London's too deep. London in 6 games.

Re: St.Catharines vs Ancaster thread

Falcons lost more than just the game:
St. Catharines - Dakota Miskolczi - (Discriminatory Slur) (Gross Misconduct) (GRM63), 0 MIN, 18:18
Game 7 is hard enough, now the Falcons have to play it without a top 6 forward.

Re: 2nd Round Matchups

Elmira wins tonight and takes a 3-2 series lead over Stratford. I didn't see that coming, heading into this series.

Big win for Listowel tonight. Waterloo has to win 2 straight to win the series. I don't think that will happen, but who knows...

St.Thomas sends the series to a winner take all game 7 with a big 2-1 win tonight. The Stars goalie came up big stopping a Leamington penalty shot later in the 3rd period.

What a run the Stars are on.

Re: 2nd Round Matchups

The Mid-West has easily been the most exciting division in these playoffs. I thought Listowel wouldn't have any problems with Waterloo. I know Waterloo has a good hard working team. But, wow... If they can get the win tonight they'll have a 3-2 series lead. And how about Elmira! They had a decent se...

Re: St.Catharines vs Ancaster thread

Biggest game of the season for both teams tonight. The pressure is on the Falcons, as they have a veteran team that's built for a cup run. Ancaster has a very young & speedy team. They also have a reputation as a very hard working team. Tonight will likely be the Dugas & Savory show. The Sho...

Re: Flyers vs Stars Schedule

It's do or die for St.Thomas tonight. They've looked like the little engine that could in this round, based on the boxscores. Leamington has clearly been the better team. But the Stars have gotten great goaltending, and those clutch goals so far in this series. The difference in these teams showed d...

Re: St.Catharines vs Ancaster thread

Looks like it was quite a game. The difference between St.Catharines and Caledonia is the Corvairs get a lot out of their top players, who are mostly ex chl players. The Falcons haven't gotten much out of the kids they've brought in from the chl. I'm not sure why, but its probably coaching. The Falc...

Re: Changes in Sarnia

I understand why Sarnia fans are upset. But that was only one game. The Stars had to win four to take that series, and now they have a 2-1 lead on the Flyers. So while I understand why the fans are upset, I still don't think that's the reason St.Thomas won that series.

Ancaster - Ryan Dugas - (Physical Abuse of Off.) (Game Ejection) (GE25), 0 MIN, 3:53

Looks like Ancaster's season is probably over. Their goalie is likely gone for the series. Looks like Ancaster dominated the 3rd period tonight, but still lost 4-3.
