Re: Corvairs vs Falcons
To me the Zamboni driver reminded me of an old country song, Dance Like Nobody's Watching. He was driving like nobody was watching. He would have driven all night if the crowd had left him alone. ( hilarious ) Was told the screw up with the game officials falls flatly on the Referee In Chief"s ...

Corvairs vs Falcons
With the deadline additions to both teams, Tuesday's game between St.Catharines and Caledonia should be a beauty. Caledonia is currently on an 18 game winning streak. Their last loss was to St.Catharines, 6-3 on Nov.10th. The Falcons are on a 6 game winning streak and their last loss was to Caledoni...

Re: Trade
GOJHLfan1, you make some valid points but not are valid. You sum it up perfectly by saying " getting players that want to go there. There;s a reason why players don't want to go there. Players like playing for teams that demonstrate the want for continuous improvement. Continuously ending up in...

Re: Trade
Falcons have added a little bit of everything. Size, skill, depth and sandpaper. A few weeks ago they added a real strong backup goalie, not that needed one as they currently have probably the best goalie in the GOJHL. Apparently they want to take a serious run in this their 50th year of operating. ...

Dec.14th has come and past. Hoping in the next week or so, that the GOJHL will announce who the successful candidate is in their search for a new Commish. Would be nice to see the new year begin with the new Commish in place.

Suspensions
Dakota Miskolczi was listed on the transactions page as late as yesterday, to have received a 2 game suspension for a supposed head check that was delivered on a Buffalo player during a game in St.Catharines on Nov.17th. Surprisingly, today the suspension has disappeared from the transaction page( w...

Looks like Caledonia scored big again with the addition of Cal Davis to their line up. Big payout to get him, but may be just what they needed.

Port, Cal Fan, I agree with both of you. Anybody could beat anybody on any given night. This division is closer now than its been in years. After what Thorold went through last year its hard to believe they could put together a team as good as they have . Pelham is much improved and Fort Erie can be...

No---------------------, maybe its to much talent in St.Catharies to let them play to their capabilities. Another big test in Caledonia Saturday night where the Canucks come a visiting. And the Canucks are not a team you can take lightly.

A decent hockey player when he concentrates on hockey but unfortunately he was brought up thinking that brutality and being known as a goon was far more important than any team goals. The team coaching staff should take a good long look in the mirror. Maybe if the staff had suspended him and sat his...

Tonight St.Catharines honoured players from their 1968 through 1974 teams. Must have been at least 20 to 25 former players from that era that were announced at centre ice. Its the Falcons 50th anniversary and they did it up right tonight. More team recognition night's to follow. Great game to watch ...

Bottom line, it doesn't matter if it's Jr.B or Jr,C , the decisions coming out of the OHA Cambridge Office shows how incompetent these decisions makers are. How long can this go on before it all blows up in their face ????????????????

Re: Thorold Blackhawks.
I agree with most of your comments but not all of them. I believe that there certain owners that only want the "A" designation to increase the value of their franchises but the majority of the owners want it to put them on a level playing field with the Tier 2 group. Player transfers value...

Don't know for sure but because of Thorold's past history( before current ownership) I assume the OHA and the GHL would both prefer the franchise remain there.

Blackhawks have been sold. Dotting i's and crossing t's this week to finalize . Could be announced at OHA AGM or shortly after that meeting. Hope that this failed rich daddy ownership, acts as a reminder to others with similar dreams, that this way most frequently ends in disaster.

Excellent point CF but don't expect the OHA to do anything that would be a benefit to the GOJHL. They (OHA) would not want the OJHL to think that they(OHA) were doing anything to help the GOJHL improve.
