Re: Jake Brown

While no doubt that this is a tremendous and deserving accomplishment by Jake Brown, I am more pleased for the players that have won the trophy for the first time. Every hockey player should get to experience a championship during their playing days even though this is next to impossible.

I have tried both the Stobbs and Tod and when I click on the comment button at the bottom of a post the red comment letters turn to blue and then the error message is displayed. I did not attempt to post on any of the other forums.

I apologize in advance to the users of this forum but I know that some of us on here also follow the new PJHL site for Junior C hockey. Whenever I try to comment on a topic it keeps coming up as a Network 54 error on the PJHL forum. Is anyone else who uses this site experiencing the same thing? Than...

Re: Sutherland Cup Semi Finals; Caledonia vs Elmira

That is a good question Port although I doubt that there is any other organization in the league with the amount of capital that controls the Corvairs. In the long run it may be important to the owners to bring home the cup every year as some kind of personal achievement but let's hope that they are...

Re: Sutherland Cup Semi Finals; Caledonia vs Elmira

Because he could! 2 and 3 years ago they were only a couple of bounces away from losing to St. Catharines and LaSalle in the final with fewer amount of 20 year olds. Once he enjoyed the success of last year's juggernaut there would be no going back.

Re: Caledonia Bushleaguers Bushwhacked!!!

I think that in the grand scheme of things it just goes to show that there are more than a few competitive teams that are capable of winning as was the case with this series. The Corvairs had to be the hands-down favourites going in but Elmira played a heck of a series and came out on top. Would St....

Re: Wildcard

I agree with GOJHLfan1. Not only the Falcons but every other division does not stand much of a chance against the Corvairs. I do think that St. Catharines will manage to keep a few games close though.

Re: Who has the best team

I guess we can now add the Alliston to the list after they swept Stayner. The Hornets kind of flew under the radar this year due to the success of the Siskins but they have proven to be a playoff-hardened contender year in and year out. They should also advance from the winner of Walkerton and Mount...

Re: Glanbrook vs Grimsby, finals

An excellent series so far. As I have stated on here before it is very beneficial to have either one of these teams go deep into the Provincials to enable us to watch some of the other divisions that we would not normally see. Although I would like to see someone other than the Peach Kings represent...

Re: Dunnville upsets Hagersville in 1st round of playoffs

No upset here. Now it looks like it will be up to Glanbrook to pull it off. I was looking at the Peach King game sheet from the other night and their coaching, training and management staff are ten deep. That is unheard of in Junior C hockey.

Re: Dunnville upsets Hagersville in 1st round of playoffs

Good for Dunnville. The Jr. Mudcats or Terriers as they were once known have been league doormats for years. It's about time that something positive worked out in their favour for once. Now if only someone from the Niagara district could knock off the Peach Kings................that would be terrifi...

A game is forfeited when: i. A team does not appear for that game. When a game is declared forfeited due to the non-appearance of the team (Hockey Canada Rule 10.14 d), the team in attendance shall be declared the winner and the score recorded as 5–0. The incident shall be reported to the League / A...

Re: Golden Horseshoe Top Three in GOJHL

I said it before and I'll say it again. The best two teams in Ontario were Caledonia and St.Catharines. Caledonia outshines all competition by a long shot but IMO the best series was when St.Catharines and the Corvairs tangled. St.Catharines never fell apart or quit in any of the third periods in w...

The Ayr Centennials are up three games to none on the Port Hope Panthers with Game 4 going in Ayr.
