Re: 2017-2018 Season Predictions
Super early, but let's get this party started. I will revise before the showcase with final predictions. Gonna be nice to only have to drive down HWY24 this year for about 20 minutes instead of the hour plus drive to London. Team Standings 1. Elmira 2. Stratford 3. Listowel 4. Waterloo 5. Brantford...

The old name wouldn't work.(WesternJr.Bhockeyforum.com) It said the page wasn't working at the moment. So I tried typing in, OntarioJr.Bhockeyforum.com, and I was able to find the site. Nice updates.

Re: Flyers add veteran defenceman
I think the Flyers will be pretty good this year. They played amazing hockey, for a rebuilding team last season. With a good core of returning players, and a few additions... They should be a very strong team.

Re: Busy off season so far for St.Catharines
I think the Falcons are going to be in a battle with Caledonia all season. I haven't seen much about how Caledonia looks yet this year, but you got to figure they'll be deep again. But I think the Falcons are tired of being just slightly behind the Corviars in the standings, and the playoffs. I hope...

That's a great accomplishment. Hopefully parents see this, and it helps them pick the GOJHL, instead of the OJHL for their kids.

Still find it funny how they had to change their logo. Who was it offending... Not the numerous Native kids who've played there.

Looks like a positive for this league. Our rule restricts 20 year olds. So maybe we'll get a few more 19 year olds coming down from the OJHL.

Re: Erie Otters are a Joke!
Just wanted to point out that Wes Wolfe knows the game really well. He was a great player, not a big time scorer, but he did whatever was asked of him out there. And he did with nothing short of 110% effort. He was the kind of role player any team would've loved to have had back then. So I'd imagine...

Re: Jake Brown
While no doubt that this is a tremendous and deserving accomplishment by Jake Brown, I am more pleased for the players that have won the trophy for the first time. Every hockey player should get to experience a championship during their playing days even though this is next to impossible. I agree, ...

Re: Lambton Shore Predators to Komoka?
Senior AA final between Clinton Radars and Petrolia Squires this past year were drawing 1700 - 2200 fans per game, not many Jr. B teams draw that and the year Komoka was in the final they drew less than 100. Most teams in the AA loop draw 400 - 600 fans to regular season games not many Jr. B...

Re: Sutherland Cup Finals; London vs Elmira
After reading the article in May 1st London newspaper, I got the impression that London thought they were better than Caledonia and Elmira would be a breeze. From what I've seen, don't think London could handle the Falcons either. All year long people have been saying, it's easy to look good when yo...

Re: Sutherland Cup Finals; London vs Elmira
I've really underestimated the Sugar Kings. London has a very deep group of forwards. So I wasn't expecting a wildcard team that has already lost a series to defeat them. Especially when you consider the team Elmira lost to, was defeated by London. Elmira's up 2-0 in the 2nd period tonight. I think ...

Re: Sutherland Cup Finals; London vs Elmira
From my experience iv'e notice most teams look great first 5 mins of the game, maybe the idea is to catch the other team flat footed, get a couple of goals then hold on. This tactic worked good for every team in the past except for the Leafs. For the first time in the playoffs this year ,what I expect...

That has always been their style. They ice really good teams every 5 or 6 years though. I give them a ton of credit, they are here for the players. All about getting these kids exposure, and moving them up.

Re: Sutherland Cup Semi Finals; Caledonia vs Elmira
Excellent post oldtymer. That is precisely the point. Every year they will simply re-stock by buying and paying high amounts to the players that they really want. Money is no object, which is why the majority of the fans I've talked to over the last couple of years can't stand them. Not because the...

Zanussi is a good goalie, seen him play in mid-west and for London.IMO he's not as good as Reinhart.London has 3 offensive lines,Elmira is a very good defensive team and has one good offensive line.I think Elmira can contain Londons off.to a degree.Question is can London contain Elmiras big line whe...

You do realize players want to play for the organization right? Couple of examples for you would be Ditomaso calling Riz before he went to st kitts, Smilksy saying he would of came to Caledonia but he already signed a card. People want to win no mater what level they are at and even somebody like y...

Because he could! 2 and 3 years ago they were only a couple of bounces away from losing to St. Catharines and LaSalle in the final with fewer amount of 20 year olds. Once he enjoyed the success of last year's juggernaut there would be no going back. You could be right. But is the money needed to do...

Re: Caledonia Bushleaguers Bushwhacked!!!
Caledonia losing is karma for them running up scores in beating teams by 20+ goals. They thought it was easy and laughed then, now everyone is laughing at them. Falcons, Canucks, both also scored 20 goals in games. Ancaster with 15, twice. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your hatred for ...

Sutherland Cup Finals; London vs Elmira
Elmira, despite being eliminated already, gets to either be known as the best team in the GOJHL, or the 2nd best team in the GOJHL. They feel like they're on top of the world right now. And rightfully so. They just took out the 3 time running Sutherland Cup champions in 6 games.  I he...
