Re: GOJHL AGM Today
I am confused as hell by all this. Can someone post a version of GOJHL vs GOJHL Inc. for Dummies? (ie. GOJHL is it what exists now? GOJHL Inc is ??? and which teams are one or the other?)

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
Although there hasn't been anything publicized, our Commissioner is working behind the scenes with the OHF to resolve the dissention amongst our league. My source has told me that he's working to get the OHF to approve a split within our league and the formation of a new GOJHL. My source has told m...

Re: OHA ATTENDANCE FIGURES
Interesting. I daresay Listowel's numbers will go up next season when they are in the new rink for the entire year.
Obviously another thing the GOJHL has no standardization on.

Re: OHA ATTENDANCE FIGURES
Where is Listowel? Did the early season games in the old rink pull them down because they had incredible attendance in the new rink.......and I don't buy Stratford's #'s. I was at some playoff games there and the place was only half full.

I was wondering that myself. If the Jr B 99er's are toast that leaves only 7 teams in the MidWest. Would they move someone over from the West?

Re: 2018-19 Signings
The St. Marys Lincolns continue to reshape their roster for the upcoming GOJHL season. On Tuesday, the team announced the signing of local goaltender Kyle Curtin. The 16 year old netminder is a draft pick of the Peterborough Petes in the OHL. Curtin stepped into a pressure packed situation during t...

Hearing that Max Ewart has had enough of Trenton and will be coming back to the GO. Conversely, it appears as if Ancaster (Kilty's) goalie will be the man between the pipes for the Golden Hawks this season. Hearing about lots of other deals involving GOJHL talent moving on to the OJHL and other Jr....

Re: Sutherland cup semi-finals, and predictions thread
Elmira's looked pretty good. Lost both games in OT... But they scored 6 goals on Caledonia last night. With a couple of bounces, Elmira could easily be up 2-0. I think they'll win a couple games. ....and Elmira has done it with their starting goaltender sitting out with injury (although Kimmel has ...

I can't imagine too many caring for the 2 conferences many because of the travel and the costs involved. I'm sure each team has an idea what is and isn't acceptable for them. It will be interesting to see what the league comes up with.

London over Listowel in 6 games As much as it hurts my heart I do think Caledonia will win over Elmira ........ but if the ESK team that put out Stratford returns they could give them a run..........heck nobody thought Elmira stood a chance last year and look what happened! In other words, who the h...

Re: Finals, Listowel vs Elmira Predictions
I agree. You had two two officials that could not identify a "hockey play" from a callable infraction (for the record there were aweful calls both ways) . They were completely out of their element. Had to love how the one strips gives his ear to the Listy coach for a good 3 minutes before...

Re: Finals, Listowel vs Elmira Predictions
The officiating in game 3 was disgraceful. Those guys shouldn't even have their credentials. Particularly loved the cross checking call on the ESK player when he didn't even have a stick in his hands.

Re: Finals, Listowel vs Elmira Predictions
Wow that was a miraculous recovery considering they said he was probably done for the season. Well Listowel certainly did not overwhelm the Kings tonight. Mazzocato played very well. I do believe it's going to be a tight series. Oh and what is a game without whining about the refs. Although I do hav...

Re: Finals, Listowel vs Elmira Predictions
I like how you think. It would give the Kings the Cherrey Cup they weren't able to win last season. One thing that could make a difference will be Lansink is out. Anyone know what is happening with him? He fell awkwardly in Game 3 (I think?) and started convulsing on the ice after hitting his neck ...

Re: 2nd Round Matchups
Hate game 7's! A bad bounce of the puck can end someone's season. As much as I'd like to see Waterloo complete the upset, I think that Listowel will put it out of the fire tonight. OTOH St Catharines has 4 suspended players tonight so I believe Ancaster will pull it off. It will be a fun night in th...

Re: 2nd Round Matchups
What is truly amazing in the Elmira/Stratford series is that neither team has won on home ice. Game 6 on Sunday in Elmira should be a great one. The question is can the Kings break the home ice curse in this series? I have to admit to be cheering on the Kings and hoping for a rematch for the Cherrey...

Re: 2nd Round Matchups
Badenhorst was terrible last night, that's why he only lasted 5 minutes. I thought Vigilatore did a good job, guess he hadn't played since Feb 24. Elmira found ways to score, especially on the PP. I agree. When you have skilled players like Skinner, Jordan, Wiseman, etc. when they're on their game ...

2nd Round Matchups
The 2nd round started on both fronts last night (the usual Friday nights in Listowel and Stratford). Listowel, as expected, came out on top 3-0 against the Siskins so lead that series 1 - 0 Stratford, OTOH, got trounced by the Sugar Kings 6-1 !! So Elmira gets off to an early lead in that series. Wa...
