Re: Records

I was re-reading this topic and wondering why I thought the number for Sarnia to win was 13 in order to tie a record. Well now I know why. There was an article in the Sarnia Observer that I had read http://www.theobserver.ca/2014/10/14/sarnia-could-match-record-set-25-years-ago and according to Wayn...

ALS Challenge

I don't know how many of you here have heard or been challenged to participate in the ALS Challenge but this past Thursday (16th of October) saw one take place at centre ice at the Brock Street Barn. Apparently, Sarnia's head coach Dan Rose challenged the Lincolns head coach Merlin Malinowski who ac...

Tell me about it. This silly piece of software is giving more headaches in our short season this far than in all other seasons combined. Tonight when we went to load the program, it said there was a problem with our internet -- but there wasn't because we browsed through a bunch of sites in Chrome. ...

Likely Scott Holland of Leamington would know such as thing. If he's not the official statistician for our conference or league, he's likely the unofficial one and would know about such. Not sure if he reads here, but maybe RG can ask him?

Re: Results from Viper/Preds game??

RG -- I agree with you about how much the teams spend using PS for the data and these past few years the service has seen us dealing with glitches at their end. There are a couple of teams for which I volunteer and there is nothing wrong with the internet connection. The connection for those teams i...

Re: Results from Viper/Preds game??

PS was misbehaving Saturday night in both the Jr B & C leagues in this area. Seems like it is being a pain often as I heard one referee say this it wasn't the first time he had to deal with incomplete gamesheets from PS post game.

Some boards have features such as giving reputation (a good thing to get) and others use a karma (good or bad) system. I don't know if this board has such a feature, but it could be interesting if we did.

both back up goalies between the flyers and nationals got gross misconducts for coming on the ice when the game was done with there helmets done up properly. brad36, I think this comes from those who started putting on their helmets and skating around before the anthem was even finished. To many of us, this is a long time coming and would like to see that same respect applied to other levels, leagues and sports. IIRC, it started off that it was a two min...

Anyone read M.Davis's comments in the Chatham Daily News? Unreal, he basically blames Leamington, saying he wouldn't have protested those games and has never protested in his career. He said that's twice they've done this to us in a year.(not exact wording) He sarcastically said Leamington is perfe...

Morgan & Davis of Maroons Suspensions

I noticed that both Alex Morgan and Mark Davis have been given a two game suspension because apparently Morgan left the bench during the second period. Since I'm a curious person by nature, just wondering if anyone was at the game and know the circumstances of why Morgan felt the need to leave his b...

Separately the M71 & M21 are not suspendable however "cumulative" they equal a GM26 ( in the 10 min of the game) and that is, even though they all happened at the same time it is still cumulative, but it's early in the season and these game really don't mean a lot in the grand scheme ...

Why not just make this forum a gojhl forum? There's only ever 1-3 threads actually going at any given time, on this one. It was pretty dead this past season. Also, it a lot of the same contributors, that post about each conference, so they can have time saved, by only having to log on this one. Tho...

Zantimisfit is afraid of nuthin'. What I hate is the horrible new forum which includes it's setup and overall look. If Kevin wants to run it that way then he has every right to do so, but I doubt very much if I'll be posting over there this year. Maybe I'll just stick to this forum and run down the...

Re: Changes brewing in Rocketland??

I see that former Rocket Assistant Coach Cam Crowder has been announced as the new head coach for the Jr C Essex 73s. Apparently he's a former 73 player. Essex is a club that wins ... often. They also see to have lots of people who leave their teams to go play for them. Depending upon who you talk t...

Hunter in the NHL

After some speculation about whether Mark was getting his ducks lined up in a row in London so he could go to the "big show", we now know he's back with the Caps. I with him luck with that bunch.
