Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
It may be more than some, but it is also less than some. It goes in cycles. Some teams do load up with older players, some simply keep them these players from the start and end up having them as 20 year olds. In the west, Strathroy has 7 graduating players. Did they load up with older players? No, m...

no, almost all guys age 16-20 are very similar mentally... I am thinking compared to the NHL where they are more likely 20-30...FiveHole wrote:so different mentality from Jr A to Jr D?

Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
I'm not saying they have to follow the coach. I'm saying that in most cases, they DO follow the example of the coaches. These are still kids. Even a 20 year old adult hockey player, still acts like a kid. They still tend to have high testosterone and adrelalin running through them during the game. T...

Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
I don't argue that point that the responsiblity is the players alone, but the coach does make a difference. Just look at the teams that have disciplined coaches and the ones that don't. With a coach that practices discipline, the players learn that discipline or they pay the consequences. Just as an...

Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
You can't tell me that a coach has any real control over a teenage boy & his testosterone. There is truth to that. Ultimately, it is the player's choice to play stupid of play smart. I am not singling out one incident, but I do think that there is influence from management. If a coach is well d...

Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
Players don't operate the way brantford does unless it's with the blessing of management. This is very true. At this level of hockey, what ever happens above shows through in the conduct of the players. If the coaches are meatheads, the players are meatheads. The Mid-West needs to start reffing a l...

That's too bad, it would have been nice to see Guelph get that one. Hopefully they can win one game, but I doubt it will happen.

Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
Game 3 no details listed on PS. All I could find was that it was scheduled for last night, and this: 3 Guelph Brantford Sun, Mar 01 7:30 pm no data - Last update I heard about this game was tied 3 -3 , don't know how late in the game it was, and I assume Brantford won, (but possibly not) anyways, wh...

Re: Round One - Brantford vs Guelph
Actually as a team, Waterloo had a better GAA than Brantford. Is it a case of better team D, or better goaltending?

Brantford gets F over every year, by the refs, awards by the oha... Who cares, it all just adds more fuel to the fire. (I...

Re: League Awards
Could be a little thing called politics.... Yes, the Rizzo screw up screwed them over from the Administrators award, but it may have screwed them over for more than that. It's a simple concept. If you piss me off, I'm not going to vote for you for anything, regardless of whether you're deserving or ...

Re: brant @Kitchener
I don't mind one bit when the refs clamp down on head checking and hits from behind. I'm not a fan of the instigator penalty though, because usually it is not called properly, or called too often when it shouldn't be.

Re: Brantford
I think snocain's comment was more about how does the player not accept any responsibility and share some blame. I agree, most of the blame should be on the GM or the team, but he can not be completely naive to the fact that his address was listed wrong. You would think that there was, at least once...

Well now the question is, what happens with Prittie? With him able to sign with another team other than Brantford, is there a team that will pick him up, or is there a team that should pick him up?

Re: Brantford
Isn't it easy for a GM to say "oops, my bad... I didn't realize". Suspend me but not the kid... So now GM gets suspended for the rest of this season, so I guess he can't make any more trades , and because it was his fault, not the player's, the kid plays. Brantford would get off way ...

Re: owen sound
How much longer will Owen Sound be in the league as a Jr B team? They are bottom of the league and have a whole 98 people (average) in attendance. Petrolia in the Western conference had more than that and they couldn't hold the team. Can Owen Sound turn it around and become a decent team? Or are the...

How good is this Brantford team?
Are they a solid team from top to bottom or are they more of a one lined team?
