Re: First week surprises, and thoughts
I disagree with you there. I thought Welland hasn't looked too bad considering they've had three ice times with the full team. Sloppy and things need to get better, but defense looks Ok and goaltending looks real solid for them. The games I've seen from Hamilton, they haven't impressed me. I think ...

First week surprises, and thoughts
Seeing Niagara Falls off to a 2-0 start isn't a huge surprise. They have a deep offence, solid defence, and a great goalie. Seeing them put up 12 goals in 2 games against the St.Catharines Falcons has been a big surprise. Some say the Falcons are in a bit of a re-build this year. But that isn't some...

Listowel finishes first in the mid-west
St.Catharines & Niagara Falls battle all season for top spot in the shoe

Re: Playoff format
I think having the top 16 teams overall, make the playoffs would be fun. 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, etc. I know the travel costs would make that very difficult though.

St.Marys looks like they'll win quite a few games this season. I've heard Welland will be better than the last few years this year. Should be an interesting season.

Re: SHOULD WE HAVE A NEW PLAYOFF FORMAT?
I know this would be expensive bus rides at times, but I think having the top 16 teams overall make the playoffs would be a great format. 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, etc. would be a good way to do the match ups. Team's could try different ways to raise money for the bus trips in the playoffs, or even have the...

Re: Caledonia Bushleaguers SWEPT!!!
What a joy to behold!!! It was great to see a team like Listowel who "built" a championship team, over the last couple of seasons, as opposed to a team like the Bushleaguers who tried to "buy" a championship, like they try to do every year. Congratulations to all those involved ...

Caledonia vs Listowel, Sutherland Cup Finals
Listowel has a really good team and should have the best shot at beating Caledonia in a best of seven series. But I'm going with Caledonia.

Elmira's looked pretty good. Lost both games in OT... But they scored 6 goals on Caledonia last night. With a couple of bounces, Elmira could easily be up 2-0. I think they'll win a couple games.

Toffolo, you are something else. You hide under the OHA, OHF and HC banners. You know the reason why the vast majority of teams in the GOJHL voted you out. Why have you not mentioned it ? In your rant you mentioned the OHA's, the OHF's and HC's constitution but made no mention of the GOJHL's revise...

I think the London, Listowel series will be some great hockey. I don't think Elmira's deep enough to skate with Caledonia, but they did take out Stratford... So you never know.
Caledonia over Elmira in 5 games.
Listowel over London in 7 games.
