Now that you mentioned Welland, how did they make out in their golf game yesterday?

Well said Hurricane 73. its not only the St.Catharines fans that are tired of Ports ill informed comments, most of the rest of us feel the same towards him also.

Re: Falcons coach
Let's do a review of some of Port's bad mouth comments concerning GHC personalities. Remember now, all of these comments are coming from a guy who probably can't remember the last time he saw the inside of any arena. I'm also betting he has never confronted any of the men he so willingly takes shots...

Re: Welland hammered 8-1
Based on Port's timely game reports I would bet that he very rarely has seen the Corvairs or anyone live.
He is your typical You Tube, Pointstreak, sit at home, know it all hockey fan. If the Corvairs games weren't on You Tube
he probably wouldn't even know where Caledonia was.

Re: Welland hammered 8-1
Try not to put too much pressure on Port. He is very confused and frustrated at this time.Remember his #1 team Chatham got knocked out in the first round and now he realizes his 2nd team (or is it his 1st team) Welland is about to join his Chatham team on the sidelines. He is now in the process of t...

Re: Pelham getting rocked
Port is right, OHA its time to make the move. Its also too bad that a team as good as Caledonia has to waste its time playing such meaningless games against a team that is not built to compete at this level, when a good practice would be more beneficial. I'm sure Mike Bullard is just thrilled to kno...

Re: Welland's bad decision
The true test will come next season when Welland want to sign him and he tells them he's not interested in returning. From what I've been told, the move was made in desperation by upper management. Osborne was apparently satisfied with the goaltending they had.

Welland came out strong last night and played well throughout the game. Fort Erie tried but could not keep pace with the Canadians.
Conway was the reason the game remained so close.

Re: Osborne calls out Fort Erie for dirty play
There is no doubt in my mind that Welland should beat Fort Erie. The funny thing going on here is that Hubbert has Osborne dancing to the beat of his drum. Ozzie keeps talking if that's the way they want to play and the refs don't call things, then his team will retaliate. Coach just go play your ga...

Re: Welland Loses Pelham
Nothing against Hunter Johnson (he's a good goalie and a good person) but the move by Welland to pick him up at the trade deadline, when it was so obvious that their weak point was scoring goals, was one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen. This move had to come from the very top because their head ...

There is a rumor going around that representatives from both the GOJHL and the GHL have had talks on somehow repairing their damaged relationship and are giving some consideration as to once again becoming one league. Apparently there are a few sticking points that have to be ironed out before talks...

Hats off to all involved in presenting the Golden Horseshoe All Star Game Monday night in Fort Erie.

Re: Caledonia's fire power, yikes
Welland continues its downward slide and if it continues we all know that their chances of doing anything in the play-offs are slim and now you are saying that Chatham should just mail it in too ? Didn't realize that good old fashion competition would scare you off so easy. I am sure there are a few...

Re: Fort Erie Meteors
I see Fort Erie had another strong game last night. They were defeated by St.Catharines in a shoot out.
All of a sudden this team is able to compete with the strong teams in the Horseshoe Conference.
They could be a team that nobody wants to play in the first round of the play-offs.

Fort Erie Meteors
Great weekend for the Fort Erie Meteors. They were defeated Saturday night 1-0 by league leading Caledonia.
Tonight they defeated the fast fading Welland Canadians 2-1. I wonder if Hunter Johnson can score goals.
Classy win Tony.

Heard a similar rumor. Was told but can not verify that 2 teams from the Jr.B category have signed letters of intent with an interest in joining the Tier 2 Jr.A category beginning in the 2015/2016 season. Only one of the rumored teams are from the Golden Horseshoe.

Totally agree with RG, this was a classless move. But then again we in the Mid-West were accustomed to this type of behavior from this franchise when they played as the Golden Eagles in the Mid-West.

Re: St Catharines@Caledonia again
I was not at the game last night so I can't really comment on the game itself. Port mentions that it would be nice to see the best two coaches go at it head to head. I would also like to see that but in my opinion the best two coaches are in Caledonia and St.Catharines. I base my opinion on consiste...

Why don't we end this where it started. Caledonia did a great job paying tribute to a former player who is no longer with us. I would expect all teams in all three conferences would all do the same thing. I am also sure the family is forever grateful for the tribute paid to their son, Tyler Norrie M...
