Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
Oldtymer, I 100% agree with your statements. Coach Floyd, Pelham must have met their obligations when reputable Jr.B teams ignored their tournament and they had to fill with Jr.C teams. RagingBS, the GOJHL.Inc did not try and dictate how a league was operated, they wanted to take the 15 teams that s...

If what she states in the second paragraph is true, why were they in the process of getting ref's for a non sanctioned group ????

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
The 18 teams that were going to play would have probably have made this one of the best showcases to date. The 18 teams are most likely the most talented teams in the GOJHL. Not having the likes of Buffalo, Pelham, Fort Erie and Brantford not attending was a sure sign that this would have been a ver...

If that statement is true that you make about scouting, why is over the last 5 consecutive years the West and Mid West have received more scholarships than the Horseshoe. Don't believe it, go check it out like i did.

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
RagingBS, You mention that the players with 2 leagues now to choose from will go to where they see the best opportunities for themselves. I agree with that statement. Now look at the make up of the 15 GOJHL.Inc teams and compare it to the make up of the 10 GOJHL teams and tell me where you honestly ...

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
Pelham didn't opted out of the INC., they were told they were not wanted. Heard they were going to hold a Showcase the same weekend the GOJHL .Inc are holding theirs but with Niagara Falls, Thorold and Welland choosing to go to the GOJHL.Inc's Showcase Pelham is left with only 7 teams. Maybe they ca...

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
All 25 teams had the option of entering the Showcase or not. Good for the GOJHL.Inc to step forward and run this event and good for the Canucks, Blackhawks and Canadians to put the best interest of their players before all else.

Re: 2018/2019 Schedule
Don't blame the GOJHL or the GOJHL.Inc for the situation that the league finds itself in today. The real blame lies within the 4 walls that surrounds the OHA. Poor and failing leadership and bad decision making has lead this sorry group to the edge of the cliff that they are perched on today. The OH...

RagingBS,
"You would have been surprised if the OHF turned it down "
Obviously you don't understand the meaning of encroachment.
Not trying to put you down only to point out each league has
to respect the footprint of the other leagues operating in Ont.

Re: 2018-19 Signings
Yes, the Canucks look good. A lot of good pick ups . Actually with the Corvairs and Falcons out I see the Canucks making a joke of the remaining teams. Buffalo, Pelham, Welland and Fort Erie will remain in the bottom tier of this Conference. Good to see McCabe back. Let's hope he's learned his lesso...

Re: 2018-19 Signings
Two years ago the Welland owner was one of the 23 that voted in favour of the $750 Player Assessment Fee. Someone earlier stated that Welland should win more games this year, well no kidding, with Caledonia and St. Catharines gone all teams in that division will win more games.

RagingBS---keep in mind back a few years ago 23 of the then 26 teams voted in favour of the GOJHL Player Assessment Fees. Two of the three not paying the fees had voted in favour of the fees. The 3 teams whom refused to pay last year collected the monies under the understanding it was GOJHL fees and...

Re: GOJHL AGM Today
Its hard to figure out why the OHA is supporting such shaky and unstable franchises such as Buffalo, Pelham, Brampton, Brantford, Thorold and not support long standing solid operations such as Waterloo, Sarnia, Chatham, Listowel,Leamington, Stratford, Elmira, St.Catharines, Kitchener and so on. Its ...

Ron,
the GOJHL.Inc issued a schedule for the Western Division yesterday and I suspect putting together the
Eastern Schedule was a little more difficult with St.Catharines joining that group. I would expect to see the
Eastern Schedule very shortly.

Word is around 60 t0 65 % of the GOJHL have signed up and paid their 50% of league fees($3700) to the GOJHL.Inc. We will all know tomorrow who these teams are when the GOJHL.Inc announces their 2018/2019 schedule. Thats when you'll see the s--* hit the fan.

GOJHL AGM Today
The TSN Turning Point could happen today. At the GOJHL AGM, could decide what direction the League will pursue.
Hopefully the 3 holdouts are turfed and the remaining 22 move on and if London wants to join them, good riddance.

Re: Guelph relocation to Cambridge
Can someone, anyone answer these questions ? 1-A franchise is being moved within the GOJHL, should this not be the responsibility of the GOJHL, not the OHA, as long as the team being moved meets all OHA, OHF and HC guidelines ? 2-Why does the OHA set the price for a new franchise to open up in Cambr...

Toffolo, you are something else. You hide under the OHA, OHF and HC banners. You know the reason why the vast majority of teams in the GOJHL voted you out. Why have you not mentioned it ? In your rant you mentioned the OHA's, the OHF's and HC's constitution but made no mention of the GOJHL's revised...

Suspensions and injuries are problems most teams have to deal with at this time of the year. The problem the Falcons have is the same problem they've had all year long, DISCIPLINE and the lack of. Last night was a good example. One of the 20 year old vets takes a dumb 4 minute spearing penalty late ...

Mooey has been back for 3 games now and is back playing the position he asked to play before his departure earlier this month. Missing Player
Tonight's game in Welland is the 5th game in a row that Ryan Mooney has not appeared in the Niagara Falls line up. Is he injured, traded or are the rumors true that he has walked away from the Canucks. He is their #1 D-Man and will be sorely missed if the latter is true.
