Re: Maroons almost toast?
Powerhouses vs Coach - ego vs. super ego. Coaches remarks in local publications make it clear that he is not taking any responsibility for the failure of this ‘dream team’, and that it was all on the players. Way to sidestep that eh. Time to grow up and own it. The coach is the front man of the tea...

Re: Maroons almost toast?
Sugar King - I disagree with the Corvairs statement although. We can’t agree on everything. Shouldn’t compare Listowel Chatham London and Caledonia, but my point is that they all had powerhouses on there roster. You need a coach to handle that. 3/4 of the coach’s do, only only one that didn’t is Ch...

Re: Maroons almost toast?
It took facing elimination after falling behind 3-1 for the Coach to express this? “We’ve got a lot of skill and we’ve got a lot of talent on this team, but right now the team that’s beating us is a team that’s playing cohesive and they’re playing for each other and they’re playing desperate,” Maka...

Re: Western Conference Awards
I received word on this year's winner of the Western Conference Convenor's Award. Good Morning with St. Mary’s having their Awards Banquet last night, I shared this award with their Organization so it could be presented, I’m please to announce this years Western Conference Convenor Award Recipient ...

Re: First Round Predictions
This leamington/strathroy series is interesting. When do 8 seeds put up this much of a fight in the first round? Yes, it’s early, but 1-0, then an overtime game to follow. From the looks of things on gamesheets (haven’t seen a game), games seem close even in shots on net aside from one period. Is St...

Re: FINAL RACES
Thanks SugarKing! You picked St. Thomas for 8th, did you mean 7th? I guess I didn’t answer that correctly. I do mean 8th. Finishing off against London and Sarnia, I don’t think they’ll win a game. I think Strathroy will beat the Lincs. Flyers vs Stars Nats vs Rockets Maroons vs Kings Legionnaires v...

Re: FINAL RACES
As we head into the final week of the regular season we have 3 tight races remaining. Chatham is locked in 3rd, Komoka in 6th and St. Marys in 9th. The other seeds are all up for grabs. Leamington leads London by 1 point for 1st. The Flyers host Chatham and go to Komoka The Nats host both St. Thoma...

Re: Leamington to take the Division?
After losing many players for whatever reasons, the Flyers have done a good job filling the holes. Key to their success going forward will be goaltending Borgiel is very solid between the pipes. Leamington also uses that big ice to their advantage at home. Very surprised how well the Flyers are doi...

Re: Maroons coming alive lately!
So far its looking like the Flyers are on best side of the Chat/Flyers trade made this season! Having a good secondary PP is definitely a good thing to have moving forward. Boy was I wrong. Was under the impression that Leamington was calling it a season when they traded Robinson and Ryckel. They m...

Re: Push for Play-offs
With 13-19 games left, we're officially in the push for play-offs. Any surprises thus far? How do we think it'll finish? Should be interesting to see how the top 3 finish. London and Chatham aren’t as dominant as we thought, letting Leamington have a chance at the top seed. St.Marys have been done ...

Re: Trade deadline
I know a team that are looking for a fast, puck moving Defenseman. There are some out there available! Chatham has 9 20 year olds signed, London has 7, and Leamington has 2. Chatham did a great job of getting Robinson as a 19 year old, if they’re looking for another piece to add they may have to do...

Re: Last 10 Games
Komoka looked good tonight against Chatham. I’d like to see young Rychel retire and take over as coach. Surely he would know enough to utilize his whole bench. That’s the problem with hiring a coach like they did. A team that wants to win now needs a coach that knows how to use his bench in the pre...

Re: Last 10 Games
Strathroy and Leamington 2 top teams in last ten. Good stuff! It’s awesome to see. That’s why the West is My favourite league. No nights off. Great job by leamington to stick it to the guys who left, and great job by Strath’s coaching staff and players. 1-8, very competitive teams. Sorry St.Marys, ...

Re: London still going strong!
Coaching has been their biggest problem for several years now. You can't just load up on talent and expect the kids to find their own chemistry. Helping them fit in with each other is the coaches job. Look at St.Catharines, a very well coached team. They load up on talent, then trade away the kids ...

Re: 3 Consecutive wins for Rockets!
This is awesome to see. I really never thought they were as bad as their record. I really hope with the boundaries being wide open that they can get good young players from the London area and become a good program once again. I can still remember watching them in the mid 2000s when the barn was roc...

Re: leamington/Chatham trade
I don’t think goaltending or defence is the problem. Harris winning goalie of the month was well deserved. Bone, O’Donnell and Murray are all very capable dmen. Getting 20 or so shots against a bottom team, while losing to them 3 times is very telling. Maybe chemistry in the room, or I’d even go as ...

Another one of these? Chatham now Sarnia, both fans with passive aggressive threats to the refs too. If you think refs dislike your team, do you think writing stuff online helps the cause?

Re: leamington/Chatham trade
Trade seems to be complete. Really looks like the flyers got fleeced. I’m surprised a team would fold up shop while in 3rd place. Not much of a loss when it comes to Ryckel, but giving up your best player must send quite a message to the rest of the team that this year is unwinnable. I didn’t think ...

Getting 3 goals on 40 something shots, allowing 7 goals (6 in the 3rd period!!)), going 3/7 on the penalty kill... but yes let’s blame the referees. I guess I wasn’t there though

Rockets will have to score approx. 5 goals or more to beat a hot Maroons team today. That is my prediction! Hopefully they bring their momentous energized win into Chatham's barn Hopefully this is the boost strathroy needed to get them going. Would like to see them battle for a playoff spot. They h...

Re: 2018-19 Predictions
Leamington does always seem to pull it together, as does Lasalle. Big win for the Vipers against Chatham. Starting to look like London will run away with the division with ease. St.Thomas is hanging around, looks like a bottleneck for those 2-6 spots. See it finishing Flyers, Maroons, Sarnia, Stars,...

What's with the "end of an era" thing in Leamington? What does that exactly mean? Alot of their good players seem to still be there? New ownership or not, if your good and have a good attitude teams will do what it takes to keep you there for sure! I have to agree with that comment. Somet...

Any surprises so far? Really thought that Strathroy would have been better than what they are. I think it will be between them and St.Mary’s for that last spot in the west. London looks to be the team to beat there. I’m sure Chatham will spend the big bucks to compete. Anything from Leamington? Let’...

The St. Marys Lincolns continue to reshape their roster for the upcoming GOJHL season. On Tuesday, the team announced the signing of local goaltender Kyle Curtin. The 16 year old netminder is a draft pick of the Peterborough Petes in the OHL. Curtin stepped into a pressure packed situation during t...
