Chatham hammering Sarnia
Chatham is leading 7-1 after the second period over Sarnia. Looks like the wheels fell off of Sarnia. I know they're missing players, but 7-1...Wow.

Re: Respect!!!
I don`t know the whole story and never seen either of the checks ,but the Lincoln player your referring to just got back from a serious concusion from an exhibition game back in Aug. could there be some revenge. SAM A lot of revenge in this league. The thing is, players need to learn that running a...

Re: Congrats Strathroy
My guess is Rosie used his "backup" because he was saving his #1 tender for Chatham tonight. As tough as it is to play in Strathroy, it is just as tough in Chatham - at least that has been my experience in both barns. Sarnia had a 7-day layoff before they were scheduled for 4 games in 6 d...

What a nasty check it was too, behind head first followed in after with a hip to the head. I'm very surprised he got up and off the ice without a stretcher, mind you he did need multiple players to help him off. Three checking from behind calls around the league tonight. Two were majors, one came w...

Respect!!!
Checking from behind has gotten out of hand. A match penalty was assessed tonight for doing so. Almost every game we're seeing players run guys into the boards from behind. Any players that may read this: Hitting from behind is classless, it's gutless. Time to grow up and play like men! Got a proble...

Re: It's a new season
Pretty sure the goalie chatham wants is Kuchmey but that could be difficult. I've had a feeling about it being him for a while. For the record, it could be anyone, I'm not saying it's him. If it is the goalie you mention it should be easy to sign him in December. If the Maroons have to wait for the...

Hopefully they're able to get him soon. Late game collapses are getting too familiar.Lilomnivore wrote:Chatham has a new goalie lined up. The timeline of when they can aquire him is the question. I hope sooner than the latter just for the pure fact of what it will stir up.

Poor Tynan Lauziere
The Strathroy Rockets have dealt goalie Tynan Lauziere to the Pelham Pirates of the Golden Horseshoe. He goes from a team that's rebuilding to a team that's headed for rock bottom. The Pirates sit last in the league with a record of 0-13. They have arguably the worst ownership in the league. They on...

Re: Question for hockey fans
The gmhl an independent league for players 16 to 21. It is mainly a pay to play league with no residency requirements boundaries for players. All teams practice at least twice a week. They had a fan foum but they cancelled it. Probably due to so many critics of league at the time. It has its place ...

Re: Records
yes sarnia is off to a great start, but doesn't matter how you start, its how you finish, the Lasalle Vipers started last season 14-0-1 if everyone remembers correctly, and then got swept in round 2 and didn't even finish first place. still lots of hockey to be played. True, but this Sarnia team is...

Another 8 point night. Mathew Hore had 5 goals & 3 assists in a 16-1 embarrassing of the Pelham Pirates.
Caledonia might have set another record tonight as well. 14 goals scored after the 2nd period ended.

Sarnia just went from good to scary
If Sarnia wasn't a Sutherland Cup contender, they are now. Ryan Vendramin has returned to Sarnia, he already has 3 points through two periods tonight against St.Marys. He was second in scoring for Sarnia last season. He played in 47 games racking up 62 points.(28 goals, 34 assists) He'll likely beco...

Re: Early Season surprises
London has surprised me, I expected Sarnia to be good, unbeaten is a bit surprising. Chatham will improve as the season progresses, they came very close to being the first team to beat Sarnia. They just didn't get 60 minutes out of the boys. I think we're in for a 4 team race this season. Sarnia, Le...

I'm told by Scott Holland that Davis Boyer has now tied the GOJHL record for most goals in a game, at 6, but has now set the record for most points in a game, 8 points. He has not passed Sarnia's team record though. I believe A.Wright of Niagara Falls had an 8 point game early this season. Might ha...

Wow, Davis Boyer scores 6 goals in a 11-1 thumping of Thorold. The six goals were two natural hat-tricks. One in the 1st period, the other in the 3rd period.

Last night was unreal though. I believe the Ancaster goalie took his helmet off before the 2nd period started. A lot of goalies do that. He got a gross misconduct(playing without helmet).
How is that a safety issue? I mean, i'm all for safety but isn't that going too far?

both back up goalies between the flyers and nationals got gross misconducts for coming on the ice when the game was done with there helmets done up properly. The rules
I've noticed a lot of gross misconducts listed for playing without helmet. Most, if not all of them are for not wearing a chinstrap during warmups. That rule is really bizarre. Ancaster's goalie was ejected before the start of the second period tonight on the same call. Why is the league enforcing s...
