Re: Finals; Caledonia vs St.Catharines
We can argue all day as to who is the best goalie in the league, but doesn't it comes down to who is the best goalie on any given night? Savory played an outstanding game on Friday and hope he plays as well tonight! This is a great series and could easily go 7. Cali fans, what happened to Van Schube...

Re: Finals; Caledonia vs St.Catharines
Not really, port, but you would have to be there to see it. Cali did the same thing they did in the first 2 OT periods, came out quick to get it done. They were as tired as the Falcons and it showed for both teams. But this time they were successful. Anyone who thought the Falcons were going to go d...

Re: Thorold Blackhawks.
The writing was on the wall after they traded their top players Jan 10th. At the time, I likened it to a "fire sale" and red flags were raised then. Really too bad and hope they can get an owner next year that can bring them back.

Re: Trade deadline moves in the shoe
With the earlier trades, it appeared that Thorold was having a fire sale (D'Angelo, Roubos and potentially Lloyd).

Re: Trade deadline moves in the shoe
Yes, Roubos started with the Falcons. He will be a huge addition to their defence and a big player offensively as well.

Re: Things got out of hand
I haven't found the reffing to be really bad until last week. The Falcons-Meteor game was just ridiculous. Even the newspaper article writer talked about it (not Potrecz).

Re: Buffalo - Pelham
I agree they should be out of the league, but at the very least, the team should have to dress a minimum number of players or forfeit the game. It's only going to get uglier from here.

Re: 0-45
The Buffalo goaltender made 3rd star for stopping 78 shots, he made some great saves. It was brutal for the players, you could tell they were exhausted and you had to feel bad for them. The Falcons stopped celebrating goals and in a real show of sportsmanship, both Falcon goalies went over to the Bu...

Re: Officials ruining Finals!!!
Falcons fans don't have to complain, the OP does enough bitching about it for both sides 8) Besides, not a thing we can do about it. I seriously doubt that changes will be made from posts on a discussion board. BTW, port as far as Volpe's being the scapegoat in a brawl started by the Falcons...the k...

Re: St.Catharines(2) vs Ancaster(3), 2nd Round Playoff Thread
Ancaster 3 St.Catharines 2 4OT Ancaster scores in the 4th OT. Falcons were crying that there should've been a hooking penalty seconds before the goal. Several players raced to the ref to complain after the goal. It was the 4th OT, they were letting everything go in OT. Why should they all of a sudd...

Re: Jake Evans the turtle
Smart hockey? Sure it is! But also you really think if he in gauged in the fight it would really affect the outcome of the series? Would he hurt his hands? Hurt st Kitts run deep into the playoffs? The way they are playing they won't make it past ancaster. Smart hockey is staying out of the box and...

Kudos to Welland who gave it their all right up to the last minute but the Falcons were the better team. Bring on the Avalanche!

Re: Falcons coaching staff, hypocrisy
Caledonia Fan, you are right about Rabjohn, I just repeated what Vuic said to someone I know who was in the box with him and he didn't say a thing to the ref. The point is, I've never seen a ref open the door to jaw with a player before Sunnydays, were you AT the game? Right about the Caledon...

Re: Falcons coaching staff, hypocrisy
What are you whining about, he is giving credit to Caledonia by saying even without the suspended players, they are still a good hockey team, as in well-rounded. Interesting that when Vuic was in the box, saying nothing, the same ref (who he called a slur and was rightfully suspended for) was...

Re: Fort Erie 5 Caledonia 2!!!!
I'll like to here from someone at the Fort Erie game last night. Not like Jake Brown, 7 games and Fitzmorris 4 games So that's Hill, Schaefer, Fitzmorris, Zottl, and Jake Brown under suspension I take it Luscombe, McCartney and Austin Brown must be hurt or something they haven't played the last few...
