Re: Finals; Caledonia vs St.Catharines
Cali, we are close in what we see but we do differ. Here's how I see it. Corvairs are deeper in the forward position. They have 3 lines that score on a regular pace while the Falcons have 2 lines that can be counted on. Caledonia's fourth line sees ice throughout the game. Falcons fourth line often...

Well, just like many thought. Six games. Glad we came out on the right end of it. A great series.
On to bigger and better things now.

Re: St Catharines vs Niagara Falls
#88 what were you thinking. Biggest game of the year for your team and you get a brain freeze. Absolutely no excuse for what you did. You let your team down. Canuck parent posted a pic of the hit on Savory. Lacking a little bit of class, IMHO. Link is here, if anyone is questioning if it was the ri...

Re: St Catharines vs Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls meltdown? Looks like some costly penalties in the 2nd period stopped any chances of coming back in this game. Now they will need to win the next two games without Wright, he was assessed a match penalty. Not looking good for them. I see McCabe dropped the gloves... I'm clearly...

Re: St Catharines vs Niagara Falls
Great series either way, as most expected I think. Falcons players appeared to be in a bit of a fog, a surreal one, after Patrick MacDonald was seriously injured during the game. Appeared to be an accidental stick in to the face/visor area. Serious eye injury. Waiting on updates. Falcons tried to ba...

Re: St Catharines vs Niagara Falls
I thought the refs did a great job of letting them play, in the first period. Then they were horrible the rest of the way.
4 out of 6 semi finals across the province appear to be tight. Caledonia and Listowel will stay healthy and fresh and watch the other teams tire each other out.

Re: St Catharines vs Niagara Falls
Game two, 4-1 win for the Falcons. I'd say, Falcons the much better team even strength. But they continue to take stupid, stupid, stupid penalties that allow the Canucks to hammer away on the power play. Savory was stellar in net for the Falcons. And as someone broke it down earlier in the thread, F...

Re: St Catharines vs Niagara Falls
St Kitts vs N.F. could be the series to watch. They are so close in almost every category . St Kitts number one P.P. and number one P.K. in the league. N.F.tie for number four P.P. IN the league but was number one for a long time during the regular season. Number two in P.K. Just look at there team...

Re: Port Colborne
I guess we can argue back and forth all we want. But, some could argue the talent of the GHC Jr B conference after seeing what Buffalo produced, how, although improved, Pelham was unaccomplished Welland got owned by NF (except game 4) So, put in context. If Tim promised a championship in port. He di...

Re: 2nd Round Playoff Predictions
I will say Caledonia in 6. Kuwabara is a very smart coach. He will frustrate the Vairs for a couple games. I'm hoping Falcons in 4, which is not realistic. But anything more than 5, for either NF or St. Kitts, will likely knock them out of contention for best 2nd place record in playoffs. Because ne...

Re: First round playoff talk, And preview
Fort Erie soundly beat Ancaster tonight. 4-2. Imagine if that series goes 6 or 7 games. A horrible wait for Caledonia. Not that it will make any difference for them, same outcome is inevitable, they win in 4. But that's just a horrible wait.

Falcons easily take game two 6-2 against Pelham.
Canucks off to a good start, handily taking Welland.
So far, no surprises in the first round in the Shoe.

Tim claims hes getting them ready for next season when its mandatory for everyone to wear full. That's funny. How many of those players will be back to that team next year, that 4 games is going to prepare them for next season. Look at all the PIMS during game one. All the fights. Care to guess who...

Big night for Caledonia. Crushed in the hardware dept. Good on Niagara Falls coach Frank Pietrangelo for winning second year in a row. He's yet again, done a great job with a questionable start of season roster, and made them stronger and highly competitive. Can someone explain what the difference i...

I am not sure anyone indicated that the "Caledonia" rule would impair the Corvairs to the point where they were part of the pack. With their resources they simply adjusted and went out and got the best 18, 19 and limited # of 20 year olds that they could acquire Even if the league changed...

So much crying last year on 20 year olds, OHL players Caledonia not playing far ect, ect, ect. on and on. So much for the Caledonia Rule it was all bullshit. With the addition of Wright, I now see the Canucks as the #1 Challenger to Caledonia for the Division Crown, (not for !st place, Caledonia too far ahead) Caledonia have added, Canucks have added and so far the Falcons have made no moves to improve.
