Re: TRADE DEADLINE (Deals, Signings, Rumours, Etc.)
Lambton Shores sold another 2 players( Scott and Lindsay) to Jr C teams on the weekend leaving them with 18 skaters for the rest of the year. When is the OHA going to step in and do something about this owner. Clearly is the laughing stock of the Gojhl. Can't comment on Pelham or Buffalo ownership b...

Re: Woodstock Navy Vets make coaching change
So I've been trolling the Jr.C sites to start familiarizing myself with the teams and so forth. I come across the Woodstock Navy Vets announcement for the hiring of their new head coach and it states he was an assistant with the London Nationals last season. Anyone on here knows I follow the Nats r...

Re: Woodstock Navy Vets make coaching change
The Nats let him go from their support staff last season as well from my knowledge and from rumblings around the WF. Kid is a liability away from the rink from what I understand, very immature for his age. Doesn't seem mutual from his quotes at all, he was fired and they gave him the benefit of sayi...

Re: Maroons FIRE Verbeek
Anytime you see an Owner also listed as a GM there is going to be trouble, never fails. It works in Major Jr because typically those guys have NHL experience and are actual 'hockey guys' that know how an organization is supposed to run properly. Just look at Lambton Shores, Chatham and St. Thomas......

Re: london free press article re petrie
I sincerely hope this is just a one off and OHA and Managers of these teams are more actively involved with these young men. s One-off? No disrespect, but where have you been the past 3 or 4 years? How many NHL enforcers have committed suicide or have come out and spoke about their daily struggles?...

Re: Disparity in League
Honestly, the best solution is the OHA must step in and put a cap on player release fees. I'm pretty sure the OJHL has this in place already. Players should be worth a "book value" dependent on several criteria. This would completely eliminate the Chathams and Caledonias from driving relea...

Re: Disparity in League
What chance do the smaller market teams have even attracting talent, as I said in my original post there is such a gap between the haves and the have nots. Throwing $ at new players doesn't guarantee success but when you don't have the cash to make offers your dead in the water and constantly releg...

Re: Disparity in League
Would someone explain to me the disparity in Junior "B" . It would appear some teams have money to burn and buy their way to championships. What happens to the less well heeled teams they appear to be the cellar dwellers every year. How is that a fair and level playing field , just seeing...

Just looked at the standing again, 2 teams undefeated through the mid-way point.
Let me ask, are those the 2 favorites to win the Schmalz?

Re: Ethan Sarfati to the Chatham Maroons
Teams in the top half are loading up and it sounds like there is still more movement of impact players to come. It's just past the halfway point of the season and a lot can change. I'll throw it out there that St. Mary's is the team left out of the dance and that London finishes first place in a ra...

Re: Ethan Sarfati to the Chatham Maroons
Hearing less than that for Brookshaw (12k) with more years left to play. Lambton Shores Owner is notorious for selling off assets at the deadline...then begs for help with players to finish the season. That and the parent coach he's hired has his team in last place yet once again. But the coaches ki...

Why is that? Is the Stobbs that much better of a division or just Essex and their 120k budget in JrC? Do enlighten us.Seth wrote:Dorchester will probably win their division but once again will get blown out by Essex or who ever comes out of Stobbs division.

He's a 3rd liner on that squad as of today but he will help solidify the powerplay without question...that's if he doesn't quit when his ice time is cut in half from what the Stars handed him. Looking forward to Wednesday now.

Sorry if you see that as random, I don't. It's a response to the last post on the thread. A post from a member that has openly said she dislikes other teams. And how could anyone take that without thinking there is any bias in it. Is this the first player from st.thomas who has wanted out of that s...

Re: Brookshaw to Elmira
My understanding is that he asked for the trade about 6 weeks ago, but it was made public 3 weeks ago when he refused to continue to play. Now, we don't know what their organization is like, but he's their Captain, so to me it looks like they were in the middle of their losing skid, he didn't know ...

Re: Brookshaw to Elmira
Can't wait to hear... he needs to start playing He shouldn't have quit on his team...right thing to do would have been to request a trade but continue to play. Quitters should have to sit for extended periods I'm a firm believer in that. Pretty sure he started his jr career in St. Marys and quit th...

Re: Rockets/Nationals moves
I'm not embarrassed by that comment. It's my opinion and I still think Weir's a good goalie. But here, I'll give you another gem, I never liked Baby Hughes either. I never bought any of the hype I heard about him, and he's now with the Sting. I get the feeling you dislike any player or team from Lo...

[quote="RocketGirl"] I can't tell you much about Fordy, he only played a few games for us and truthfully, I forgot that he was on our team. As for Weir, I think he's a good goalie. I always thought he was better than Hughes. That literally just shows how little you know about the game of h...

Hearing on the street Kelly and crew are getting the axe....didn't they win coaching staff of the year last season when they took a 6th place team and finished 5th? Just looking over the PJHL stats page. There seems to be a number of teams with zero losses. Is this normal and has anyone gone undefeated in recent years?

How long before the Stars Implode? Nother and Newland apparently quit and rumor is now Brookshaw looking for a trade.

Season is just under away, anyone surprised or disappointed in their team so far?
I know in London we weren't sure what the club would look like after last seasons cup run but I have to say the management has done a great job reloading on the talent.
Thoughts?

Anyone on here knows I follow the Nats religiously and that kid was not on the Nats staff last season. I think you might be wrong. Would you re sign him ? He looked decent against the Nats in rnd 1...I'm not sure if there is anything better that is going to go to the Rockets, they'll be in a rebuild situation this season. New coach, kid is on the team...if i'm a player i'm not getting into that mess. Rumblings out of Strathroy...
