Re: Caledonia Corvairs

Maybe Kenny Hill got tired of trying to buy Sutherland Cup championships, especially after they failed the last two seasons. When you're getting less than 150 fans per game it was obvious that the local Caledonia fans weren't into the Corvairs, especially when they only used a few local kids i...

Caledonia Bushleaguers SWEPT!!!

What a joy to behold!!! It was great to see a team like Listowel who "built" a championship team, over the last couple of seasons, as opposed to a team like the Bushleaguers who tried to "buy" a championship, like they try to do every year. Congratulations to all those involved w...

For anybody planning to go to game 4 in Listowel tonight without a ticket, well you're out of luck. The game is sold out.

Re: Caledonia vs Listowel, Sutherland Cup Finals

Best game of the series so far by Caledonia but it still wasn't enough. They had the better scoring chances in the game and Wright totally robbed them for at least two sure goals. He was the first star of the game in my books. I'd have to think that this is the first game that Caledonia has ever bee...

Re: Caledonia vs Listowel, Sutherland Cup Finals

Despite being outshot, Listowel owned the Bushleaguers tonight. The goaltending for Caledonia in this series has been downright awful. The Cyclones outworked and outhustled the boys in black in this game.

Re: Caledonia vs Listowel, Sutherland Cup Finals

It looked like two fairly evenly matched teams to me in the first game. I don' think the week off helped Caledonia at all. They started slowly in the Elmira series as well but got stronger as the series went on. Still lots of good hockey left to be played in this series.

Looks Like It's Going To Be The Same Semi-Finals As Last Year

Barring any major comebacks, it looks like it will be the exact same Sutherland Cup semi-finals as last year. Caledonia vs. Elmira (the wildcard team) and London vs. Listowel. St. Catharines and St. Thomas have already been eliminated as possible wildcard teams.

Re: St.Catharines vs Ancaster thread

The Falcons are getting what they deserve for taking STUPID undisciplined penalties. Not that this is anything new because they have been doing it all season long as they led the GOJHL in penalty minutes this year. Now they've got a tough row to hoe and they have nobody to blame except themselves.

I had a pretty good thread going on the Golden Horseshoe site until someone decided to play the I am being critical of Caledonia card Don't worry Beehive. Caledonia fans have had their knockers in a knot ever since the Bushleaguers were wiped out by the wildcard team in last year's playoffs. LOL. :...

Re: Playoff Scheduling

I don't think this is a huge disadvantage for the other teams which are spreading out the games in their series. This may also turn out not to be an advantage for Caledonia as they will essentially be getting a bye week, might be great, might not. I remember years ago when the top seed could choose ...

First off, McCabe is not a goon who thinks brutality. The guy rarely fights anybody. He is nothing but a big-mouth trash talker who "tries" to take opposition players off their game. Most of his penalty minutes are for misconducts and head contact penalties. For the most part he's nothing b...

I'd put money on a Falcon sweep of London. I'd love to take that bet. No way the Falcons would sweep London. By the way Cal 99ers, I know exactly who you are. They don't skip school in Caledonia, they just don't go to school. Kenny Hill pays them lots of money so they can "work" for him.

Excellent post oldtymer. That is precisely the point. Every year they will simply re-stock by buying and paying high amounts to the players that they really want. Money is no object, which is why the majority of the fans I've talked to over the last couple of years can't stand them. Not because they...

I don't care if you do or don't feel sorry for them, but you didn't have to call Painter mentally challenged, since he's not.

That call...I don't know what he said, but Bolibruck just lost it and slammed his hands on his hips right after the whistle. You see that is the problem when you sit at home and follow the game on your computer. You can't see what really happened. Bolibruck called a justifiable penalty on Ratchford...
