Frank. WAKE UP. You can't let a guy like Pawley go unchecked all night. He's just too friggin good to let go do as he pleases all night.

Re: Caledonia(1) vs Niagara Falls(4), 2nd Round Playoff Thread
Caledonia plays a bang and crash style of hockey. They are going to take more penalties because of thieir style. Saying the Falls had 11 power plays and the Corvairs only had 4 does not indicate a bias by the game officials. I attended last night's game and truthfully I didn't even notice who was re...

Re: Limit 20 years old
Isn't it strange that this type of conversation never happens in the OJHL. Ever wonder why they don't, as a rule, load up with 20 year old, ex OHL players. The reason of course is that they truly are a developing league. Saying you are and actually doing it is two completely different things.

Re: #2 St.Catharines vs #7 Welland playoff thread.
Like I said on previous posts, head games are also part of hockey and it sounds like Evans got into Martin's head and played him like a one string violin. :smt035 Don't blame this one on Ozzie. Evans plays at a much higher skill level then Martin and obviously at a much higher brain level too. :smt056

Re: 1st Round Playoff Predictions
My picks,
Corvairs in 4, will breeze through it.
Falcons in 4, will not come easy.
Avs in 6, Hawks will battle but Avs too big.
Falls in 6, should be the most entertaining series of the opening round.

Re: Falcons coaching staff, hypocrisy
Was at the game last night and enjoyed what was a hard fought, well played, hard hitting and fairly clean fast paced hockey game. For the Corvairs, considering the people they had out,(7, I believe) the guys player their hearts out. They battled throughout the whole game. The Falcons are well structu...

Re: Welland problems
A couple of points. I didn't direct my comments to anyone in particular. it was just my observation on how some make comments then state "however I wasn't at the game". I agree with the comments made about the coach. I just didn't make it clear at to what I was getting at. Oz is a good coa...

Re: Welland problems
The reason for the drop off in Welland is all on the shoulders of the organizations top management. The owner is so cheap that it takes four cans of WD 40 to get the squeaks out when he walks. Their coach has turned into a screaming manic that has turned good players off when it comes to playing in ...

Re: Zottl steps on Crowder
Caledonia Fan, kind of sounds like we are on the same page. I don't mind a good scrap in a game as long as things are kept under control and the teams involved respect the game. Caledonia is not the only team that looses control every now and then, there are others that do the same but not as often....

Clearly I was at the game. Clearly he jumped him, clearly he did get 5min major for fighting and clearly he is suspended for the next game. Sunnydays, what is not clear are those rose coloured sun glasses you are wearing.

Re: Zottl steps on Crowder
I enjoy a well played hockey game where both teams display skill, heart and control. Caledonia usually gives you that kind of game. They are deep in all three areas that I mentioned earlier. What I don't like is when their so called tough 20 year old guys decide to jump and fight 17 year old from th...

Re: Long suspension for Fort Erie player
The length of the suspensions to both the Fort Erie and St.Catharines players is ridiculous. Yes they deserved some kind of discipline but come on a quarter of the season for their offences is way overboard. In my mind, 4-6 games would have been appropriate. Are the Ontario Liberals now running the ...

I supported him and St.Catharines when his signing was made public. I must say I'm disappointed with what happened last night. Re: Can anyone stop Caledonia in a best of seven series?
OHAHockeyFan. You nailed it. If Caledonia had to operate in the same manner as the other teams do, I don't think their below average attendance (9th worst in the league-230 avg.) would allow them to spend the amount they do to get the players they get. Caledonia is very fortunate to have the financi...

If Caledonia picks up any more former OHL players they probably could challenge for the Memorial Cup.(LOL) They are right now probably better than the two and maybe 3 OHL teams in their local area. They are certainly better than any team in OJHL Tier2,Jr A

Re: Falcons continue to fall, Canucks continue to rise
Not often do I agree with what PH states but I do agree with his comments about both Niagara Falls and St.Catharines. The Canucks are doing exactly what their coach said they would do, they just keep getting better. I think the bigger problem in St.Catharines is that the Girhiny influence (Frank and...

True they need goal scorers. Does this now mean Louie will go out and sign another goalie like he did last year(Hunter Johnson)
Good coaches in Welland but they are handicapped by poor owner decisions.

Caledonia Fan,,, along with the 3 (well deserved) prospects that the Corvairs are sending to the game, Fort Erie is sending 4 outstanding prospects of which three are 99's. They too should be recognized because (outside of Pelham) this is the toughest place to draw players because of their location ...

Short players or not, you still have to show up. Corvairs did when they were shorthanded. St.Catharines goalies were left on their own.

Word on the street is that Toffolo dedicated last night's win over Thorold to Port Hockey for his dedication to the Port Colborne Sailors.
