Re: Trade Alert
I've read that St. Thomas is looking for another goalie, as Dampier is injured right now. What are the chances Hunter could end up in St. Thomas?

Re: Preds stun Patterson and Maroons
Yes you do Brad. Look through your posts, how many times, after the Maroons have lost, have you come in here, complaining about the refs? My whole point is that you need to give credit where it's due, rather than making excuses for your team losing. Winners overcome adversity, and losers find excus...

Re: GHL All-star selections a joke
An All-star game is just that, a game for all-stars. Several of the players mentioned aren't even close to being all-stars. Just my opinion. So would you prefer if the game was Caledonia vs. the other 7 teams? Or perhaps the other 6 because it sounds like, according to you, Pelham doesn't deserve t...

Re: Preds stun Patterson and Maroons
the preds goalie got lucky the reffing tonight is what decided that game. i really hope provost is a better cop than he is a ref because that display was brutal Brad, why is it that every time the Maroons lose, you blame it on the refs? Why can't you just say that Lambton Shores battled back and en...

Was just told that Ryan Trottier has set a new Sarnia team record for fastest hattrick at 5:53.
The GOJHL record is 2:09 set by Luke VanMoerkerke of Brantford Golden Eagles on Dec. 14, 2008.

Western Conference Coaches
Great story on our coaches and how they're shaping up this season. It's a good lead into my post prepared for Friday. Since there's no games this week, I've taken the approach of doing a slight preview of the balance of the schedule and the push for play-offs. http://localsportsreport.com/gojhl/201...

Re: GOJHL All-Star and Prospects Games
My understanding from year's past is that the teams vote on it. I think they all nominate players from the other teams and then they get voted on, but I'm not 100% on the process.

Re: St Thomas solves Leamington
I've never been a Dampier fan, he's never impressed me, but this year, he's been playing really well and has kept the Stars in quite a few games that I've been to. Part way through the 3rd period, I knew that game was going to OT last night. For Fill the Rink, that was a great game to watch. Althou...

Re: Justin Tugwell
In looking at the videos, I see I was wrong. The puck wasn't sitting at the faceoff dot, Quick had it the entire time. Here's my question, why would Tugwell decide to try and poke check it? I understand he was probably thinking, if I get the puck away from him, he won't be able to take a shot, and ...

Justin Tugwell
I hope Justin is ok and if anyone has an update, it would be greatly appreciated. Last night in the game against Leamington, there was an incident in which Tugwell was injured rather severely. In the 2nd period, with the game tied 2-2, and London on the powerplay, the puck was sitting at the faceof...

That's why a lot of us dislike the Chatham Maroons. There's a chunk of their fans that are ignorant and arrogant and there's people in their organization that are like that as well.Port hockey1 wrote:It's the arrogance of some fans that makes it very easy for many people to hate the organization.

The impression I got when you guys were all talking about him possibly signing with Chatham back in Sept. was that he's this great, fantastic, superb hockey player, and he never plays, that's the point I'm trying to make. So the question is, why doesn't he? *Line omitted by Admin to avoid inciting*

Re: Maroons with another move
Even if Patterson did ask to go home early for the holidays, he'd only miss two games, so it's not like it'd be a big deal. In my mind anyway. Odds are he'd only play one of them also. I've heard that Patterson has told the Maroons since he came that he's not in game shape and doesn't want to play ...

Where's Dede Cato? You guys touted him as the 2nd coming of Brennan Feasey, saying how great of a 2-way player he is, and the kid never plays. Of 30 games that the Maroons have played, he's been with the team for 27 and has dressed for 15.

Ah, Brad, you saw me there? Why didn't you come say hi? I heard the leave of absence rumour too, but considering Patterson played last night, how true can that be? Re: Preds continue solid play of late
Maybe they're buying back into Dickenson's game plan. Remember, this season was the best start the Preds have ever had, and then they slid for a month or so, which in this Conference, moves you from 5-8. Look at my boys, in the last 2 months, we've gone from 8-4.

Transfer fees between leagues don't count.
And who else would you be addressing when saying the proof was in the lack of replies about us getting a new player. I'm the only Rocket fan on here who posts. So if you weren't looking for a response from me, who would you be looking for it from?

It was a good game to watch. It was definitely a goalie battle between Dampier & Barrett from start to finish.
