Re: Prediction On a Season Start Date

Even if there is a season, it doesn't sound like there will be many referees. I'm hearing close to 1/3 of all the OHA officials have requested a one year leave of absence. Unlike the players and team officials, on-ice officials will not be given a dressing room. Which means they will need to arrive ...

Re: Changes in Sarnia

38 other players managed to keep still during the whole anthem.

If you don't want those "questionable" penalties called, don't move during the anthem.

Re: Glanbrook vs Grimsby, finals

I was at game 4 in Glanbrook...It looked to me that Glanbrook was the better team with more speed. A clear indicator would be the restraining penalties that Grimsby took early to try and keep up. Ultimately they dug themselves too big of a hole to get out of and lost the game 4-1. I think Grimsby is...

New for this year (across the OHF).

A slewfoot carries either a double minor + Game misconduct or a match penalty.

Re: Junior C Province Wide

I like it.
This just drives home the fact that they'll need to use the 4 man officiating system, and not the archaic 3 man system they use now.
3 on 3 without a red line gives the referee hardly any chance of keeping up with the play.

Re: Fort Erie 5 Caledonia 2!!!!

Thank you Brian for responding. I was under the impression that the suspension was reduced as a result of an appeal. Again, thanks for clearing that up. Your response in fact supports the reason for my original post on the matter. The organization felt that their player was wrong, unlike the fans wh...

Re: Fort Erie 5 Caledonia 2!!!!

I saw Bullard at the Glanbrook/Hagersville game last night speaking to an OHA supervisor. Bullard told him he felt awful and the next time he saw Purnell he'd personally apologize. He admitted his player was wrong. There are times when a player is just dumping the puck into the corner, obviously nob...

Re: The Harris & Creamer show

One team is playing more undisciplined than the other so it makes total sense that they are penalized equally.

You know, kinda like when I'm given a speeding ticket, everyone else who isn't speeding should get one too, just to even things up.
