So, early in the season it looks like there are 3 "powerhouse teams" and then it quickly drops off from there. Am I correct in saying this, or is this just an early start by a few teams and others will catch up?

Currently that puts the Greys ahead of Cambridge. Hopefully those fans that were so hard on Owen Sound are not Winter Hawk fans....

You're really trying hard to drag me into this nonsense aren't you? I don't want to get into this at all.

Re: The leafs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Grappler. Burke has put together a great D, but still no goal scorers. Hard to lean on Kessel to score everything for you and not even have anyone to help him. Should be a better year than the last 3 or 4 though.

Re: It's the Olmypics!!!
It is great to see the performance of our Canadians! 4 medals yesterday, at least 1 tonight, we are actually tied for the lead in Gold Medals! Great to see the success of our team. Gold medal game in Women's hockey tonight, Semi's in Men's tomorrow, playoffs in Jr B on Saturday, Men's Finals on Sund...

don't forget the troubles the "Olympia" Ice machines had on the speed skating ice... Turns out Zamboni had to come in a rescue that portion.

Re: It's the Olmypics!!!
I watched the runs...my knees are sore just thinking about it. Not sure how those people do it, but it was an incredible run. Agreed! I saw a thing yesterday where they superimposed the Gold and Silver runs in the same video. Really interesting to see. The Canadian was a little ahead, and slightly ...

Re: World Juniors 09-10 Edition
I hate shootout as well, but I've come to accept it. (I hate admitting it, but I don't mind the shootout for games that "don't matter") When I say don't matter, I mean non playoff games. Really, the New Year's Eve game, did not matter, if it really mattered, we wouldn't be seeing the US ag...

Re: eagles keep winning
But even with deep pockets, you wouldn't think you'd be spending money left right and center unless you get some return on it. Are they banking on getting huge attendance for the next few seasons just by potentially winning this year?

Re: eagles keep winning
I wouldn't worry about the points brantford gets I would worry about the money they spend to get these players. Josh McQuade is the best player in Jr B and the only reason he is in Brantford is the $20 grand they are paying him. I would love to see how much they spent on their 9 or 10 ex OHL kids? ...

Re: Hurricanes fire coach/gm
I agree that there are many times where an owner's/coach's son gets more icetime than they deserve. But many of those times, the person is owner/coach before the son joins, and continues in the role after the son is gone... Also, there are times where the son is deservingly on the the team, but peop...

Re: Hurricanes fire coach/gm
lol, I guess there are cases of it! I just don't see someone specifically buying a team just to let their son play. The owners may use it to their advantage to give their son more icetime, but I don't think they purchased the team for that reason.

Re: Hurricanes fire coach/gm
So the only reason these new owners purchased the team was so that they could play their sons and give them all the icetime? I somehow doubt that. I don't think it's a hidden agenda. There likely is some over inflated view of their own kids, causing some disagreement with coaches, but to say that th...

London is on a 12 game win streak as well... So congrats to both teams, but I'm not going to crown either team as champ yet.... There is a lot of hockey to be played even before playoffs.

Guelph Goalies?
What is going on in Guelph? 3 goalies playing 3, 4, or 5 games each... And now, the goalie that have posted the best numbers of the 3, Brendan Zwambag, isn't even the backup goalie. Who is the top tender, who should be the top tender? Can anyone provide some insight?

Re: Alvinston vs Belle River
but looking at PS, the numbers would say that BR is at the other end of the spectrum... Maybe that's why the crazy extreme. But still, usually when a team gets close to double digits they lay off a little bit, and just dump the puck in, they don't keep hammering.

shots on goal in the game 59 -18.... seems even Alvinston's Offence couldn't do anything.
Alvinston 6(GP) 2(w) 4(L) 0(OTL) 4(PTS) .333(PCT) 24(GF) 46(GA) 281(PIM) 1-2-0(HOME) 1-2-0(Away)
last place, they don't look good. I haven't gone to any games yet, but the numbers don't look good.

Why is there no discussion here? Is it the fact that the most from the MidWest don't like Brantford and have given up on jr B till the fall?

Re: Second Round - Kitchener vs. Waterloo
Was the winning goal a fluke? I would assume that everyone would be dead tired, and it would just be a skimpy goal that would put Waterloo out. Am I right in assuming this? Tough way to lose a series. Although you can clearly say that Waterloo took it right to the bitter end... and then some.

I don't think any of these comments are really about one specific incident by one specific player. They are just general comments about the team.
