Just wondering who the key additions have been this off season? Outside of Corp and Weston, or is it a case of you know but can't tell?flyers2011 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2017 9:56 pm Flyers have made a few key additions and with the young talent from last year going to the finals and being a year older I think the flyers will be very strong.

I'm assuming that it's supposed to say Liam Foudy? The Knights first round pick from last season?

They could finish anywhere really. Their other goalie is Connor Meyerink, one of the top Jr C goalies last season. Their roster has been posted for nearly a week now.RocketGirl wrote:Based on some things I've heard, that's where I've placed them. We'll see in Feb. how I do.

Re: 2016-17 Predictions
Not that I necessarily disagree, but there's been nothing coming out of LaSalle all summer, so why do you think they'll be so high? From what I'm hearing, again, I don't know the accuracy of it, but I'm told not to expect Leamington that high up. With St. Marys, I've seen some good things coming ou...

Honestly I don't think that anyone could sanely predict London winning the series. There's no doubt what the outcome is going to be.

That's correct goes to 4-3, then 5-3 for two man advantages as it'd normally would.

Re: Trouble in Leamington?
From what I have heard, Bechard didn't quit, he was told loud and clear that he would not be returning next season after causing yet another game ending goal. Just what I've heard though, he wasn't coming back even if he wanted. As for goaltending I wouldn't be shocked to see Barrett and Wall as the...

Re: Game 2 Caledonia at Leamington live on YouTube
I just saw the 'trip' on youtube. What a BOGUS call for a ref to make in triple OT. Ref must have been too tired to continue and needed the very first 'anything even close' to happen so he could get out of there! Where do these refs come from!!!!! From what I saw on Youtube, the goalie played the p...

Yes, full credit to Barrett, especially winning back to back games. Do you figger he'll get the nod again tonight? He's typically your home starter. Who knows who is going to play tonight. I'd assume Wheaton will play tonight, but Piroski already broke his rotation, which is unlike him. He's usuall...

You can't buy back suspensions anymore. Over the last few years they've decreased which suspensions you could buy back and last year they took the option away completely. http://www.oha.pointstreaksites.com/files/uploaded_documents/175/INFORMATION_BULLETIN_I0031_-_PLAYOFF_BULLETIN_2013-2014.pdf So ...

Re: Patterson to get the nod against short-staffed Flyers
I've never seen it happen, but Scott Holland is likely the only one that would know off the top of their heads. Michael DiPietro gets his chance to show off to OHL scouts, as I am sure there will be more than a few making the trip to see how he does against older, more developed talent. Hopefully it...

Re: Leamington Goaltending
Guess that's what I get for assuming since Sun County seems to be the only team that doesn't update their pointstreak the day of games. Guess it all depends on a variety of factors who plays tonight, but obviously if DiPietro starts for Sun County this afternoon, he'll be cemented to the bench tonig...

Leamington Goaltending
With Sun County getting beat out last night by Waterloo, Leamington has added goalie Michael DiPietro to their roster, and I would expect he'll start the two games while Wheaton and Barrett are suspended. DiPietro is widely considered one of if not the top goalie available in the upcoming OHL draft,...

Re: Wild night as goalies duke it out
Lambton organization doesn't have much class that's for sure. Put your goalie back in with 1 min left to fight. Lambton coach trying to get at the leamington bench, absoulty classless. as much as I don't like Chatham, atleast when we play them its good hockey and usually clean, you should take note...

Re: Wild night as goalies duke it out
What's interesting here is that the Flyers have no goalie for Sat when they go to Sarnia. For shooting the puck over the boards, Barrett's out for 2 games and Wheaton's got 2 for the fight in the last 10 minutes and removing his helmet. Could make for a fun game at the Brock Street Barn. It's worth...

Re: Flyers Make roster change
Adds another offensive weapon, which despite having 4 solid lines, is always a welcome addition. As long as Moore stays in the line up on a nightly basis, I have no complaints with adding a guy who had more than a point per game in the Soo. And if he plays anything like Matt, he'll fit in perfectly.

They have also release Alex Derksen in order to add Ogden if my understanding is correct. Unfortunate, I thought Derksen has been one of their most consistent D.

I stand by it regardless, he hasn't earned being with the Knights full time and will sit in the stands most nights. He would not be there if it was any other team. That's all I am saying. Knights must of had cards to burn and felt it was worth having him there. Good for him, bad for the Nationals, a...

He played with the Nationals yesterday, at the same time that the Knights played, so who knows. Maybe he's their 14th forward. Flyers looked like they were thinking about there cruise Friday This crap should never happen during the season, it's a big distraction. Seems as if Mark Manchurek is back in the fold with LaSalle, a huge addition for them in time for the final stretch.

Re: Games Wed. Jan. 7
Kitchener/London has been postponed in the OHL, so I would imagine the Nationals will follow suit. Unless Sarnia is comfortable driving, but it's essentially the same distance, so I would think it'll be a no go tonight.
